its ok,but you have to admit, slapping a bunch of neons on a crappy case is not cool...

He shouldn't do things that looks good for you only.

Lol...yea,but ricing up a pc case for just the reason for looks,is lame...maybe if some of the stuff matched, maybe it wouldve been better....but before this gets outa hand...Its an 'ok' case, but ive definitley seen better.

here's my system, exactly as on pics (scale is correct). Tiny case, best 17in flat panel for gaming, cheap but good speakers, and simple but nice key/mouse combo. All stylish in black, no neon and so on. Only LED on the case are blue and orange.
Specs are in my signature.

Thanks Urquattro, no many interesting posts before you came with your system
Your PC is so cool, an example of well-made modding. I suppose those Kingston run @400mhz hehe. The thing I dont like in your computer, it is the keyboard/mouse. I would get a wireless pack for example Logitech MX700 + keyboard. They are black colored, wireless, and work well.

I don't travel with my PC: hence I don't need a wireless mouse. It's also heavy - with batteries in it - I like a light mouse. Keyboard is fine too - it has those shortcut buttons at the top - for email, files, volume, etc... I never even use that. If I will spend any more bucks on it, it will be on a new fan and grease to aid cooling, rather some mouse that needs batteries every month, or a keyboard that will have a gazillion of buttons I'll never use. Besides, wireless keyboards sometimes have delay in output, and so forth. When I have a stationary computer, it's no problem at all.
Btw, did I mention it cost me only 1100USD for everything on that picture?

Those pcs are popular with the cyber cafes and lan partys...small size and all.
I got like 50 2500*1700 pics and i got to get them all resized and posted on a site for yall to see...the whole is done now,i just need to recieve my orded watercooler and buy some more neons...I hate LEDs tho...theyre bright and ugly...Neons have that sweet glow...Korge so when will we get to see ur modded pc?
btw..you case is ok...i dont want to flame, but i have seen better...maybe if theyre was a poinnt or if there was something that matched...i dont know...
Peace!

Oh sorry, it is true Urq PC is no modded, but it is cool. No neons/ricing components needed to get a good computer.
Anyways he has a custom PC, I mean he choosed carefully each component, which is the best way to get a good machine.
BTW I discovered a tool called 3dMark which allows you to test your computer. It runs a few different games scenes, and shows you the framerate. The tests are centered in gfx card, CPU and sound system.

You can download a free version (180mb) or purchase the Pro.

Before you start telling me my computer is not modded, let me stop you right there. The only difference of my PC from your exonn is I don't have the neon glowing (which I find silly - I don't even see my case - it's way under my table or inside a desk drawer).
Shuttle XPC comes as a barebone system. It has a mobo, and nothing else. What you do than is build it with components that you like best. Install the CPU, HD, Vid cards, sound cars, memory, fan, everything. If that's not a modded PC that has only mobo stock, I don't kow what is!
I'm currently running the components I have in my sigpic, and I consider that modding. Heck, it beats buying a gray case with P4 and spraying it with silver paing and putting neons into it if you ask me. Everyone one who visits my house likes it - it has a nice retro look to it (black brushed aluminum), it's light and small and easy to carry - good luck lugging the Alienware that has the same perforamance and costs twice as much.
There are ways to mod my Shuttle, and I know of many. The only mod I made to it when it came to modifying the case was removing a rear grille - to improve cooling. It's not an easy task.
That thing with bunch of lights will look OK by a Christmas tree, but that's it. That's my opinion, like it or not, but that's what I think off all the neon maddness posted here - especially the one with Gatorade bottles inside. What if it leaks out - haha wouldn't that be a riot!

It wouldnt be a riot because they dont leak, unless your an idiot that cant tighten a cap...when setting the water coolers up,you must drain them and decure them so that doesnt happen.and your case is nice..i think its sweet, but i would definitely have an alienware, just because its an alienware, same reason why ppl want a ferrari.not because of performance but because of the name..UrQuattro wrote:What if it leaks out - haha wouldn't that be a riot!

EDIT-

No, it's more like buying alcohol in a store vs. buying it in a bar. Same shiznit, just costs different.korge wrote:but i would definitely have an alienware, just because its an alienware, same reason why ppl want a ferrari.not because of performance but because of the name..UrQuattro wrote:What if it leaks out - haha wouldn't that be a riot!

People buy ferrari because of badge, not because of performance? Comon, listen to what you're saying. Not every ferrri owner is a rich bumbumhead who got too much money to spend. Too many rappers you guys have overthere. Should really visit some historical Ferrari club or smth to understand WHY people buy and own a Ferrari.
If you plan to get Alienware - be my guest. Let me know which model, I'll let you know afterwards that for that extra 1000 dollars you spent on a brand, you could have bought a friggin 23in plasma monitor or Bose stereo system.

omg...thats what i said.listen to what your saying.anyways,we know what we're talking about. What do ppl think of my window?i cut it from my original case side.then got some plastic and paint and worked it.And it looks so awesome.like professional...looks so sweet.rather than those cheap window kits.

Read what you wrote and you'd understand my response - you said you'd have an alieanware just because of the brand. That's what your english meant! Seriously.
.
Window is ok, just too rough (or you meant it that way?) Use a ruler may be? Still, as long as it's your custom made thing and you;re happy with it - good for you. Design is alright too! Kinda funny that you took a pic and left the marker in the shot!
