Videos, yes there will be videos! But we are not done yet . . .
I made a little switch panel that goes next to the handbrake. From left to right: Starter motor, ignition, ECU, radiator fan.
The ECU is wired separately so I can access it with the laptop and not need to have the ignition on at the same time.
I decided to rip out all of the original wiring and make a new loom from scratch. It's pretty messy but everything is easy to work on, in case I ever need to repair or change some things. I made an earth strip so that all the sensors can ground at the same point. This is important for accurate sensor operation. The two ignition relays are right next to the strip. One is just for the ignition coil, the other relay does eveything else on the ignition circuit.
The silver/black rectangle next to the throttle body is the electronic boost controller. There is a relay sitting on the intake pipe which controls power for the VTEC solenoid. The other relay on the left is for the starter motor.
I bought some ARP head studs, so we will need to remove the camshafts and get those installed at some point.
Finally got those T-bolt clamps to finish off the intercooler piping. Also note the lack of air filter. We're going to run it open because every horsepower counts right?
The engine bay is mostly done, time to start on the interior wiring.
We started replacing the glass too.
Finished building the ECU, all that's left is to load the firmware and give it a final test.
