Not cool man. This is better than hot pursuit because of the controls. Still no customization ?

Re: First Gameplay Video for NFS Most Wanted
That´s right @Roismoke, NFSMW is streetracing. Most Wanted 2012 just another copy of hot pursuit and the run
Re: First Gameplay Video for NFS Most Wanted
This is just a Burnout with licenced cars and named "NFS Most Wanted". Even the licence plates on the cars say BURNOUT and not NFS/ND4SPD like always.

@NFSMagster
Did you ever played Hot Pursuit or The Run?
If yes you would see that this three games are very different.

Handling looks cool. And it looks quite action-y overall. Seems fun.

i haven't played The Run. but i've played HP, Burnout 3. they are IDENTICAL: the career progression. the handling/physics. the takedowns. the classification of cars into 'series'. the instructional videos. the intro videos for each series. the career main menu (the map where you select events). the way you gain boost/nitro. the fact that you get rewarded for doing a 'Burnout' (although it's called something different) in NFS HP - where you use the entire boost bar in one shot. etc etc etcCopkillar777 wrote:@NFSMagster

i imagine the run is different because it's made by black box rather than criterion. but don't question whether HP was a copy of Burnout. because it is.
PS. get that pickup the hell out of here
i have nothing more to add

There might be tuning after all. Or its just gonna be pre-tuned cars

Wtf, Burnout-clone. Who do they call it Most Wanted?? It's nothing like Most Wanted!

what tells you there is something tuned in that impreza?viper16 wrote:There might be tuning after all. Or its just gonna be pre-tuned cars

I can clearly say... atm it's just looks nice... that's it...
Re: First Gameplay Video for NFS Most Wanted
Cosworth is a tuning company. Also stock STi's have 300hp. According to the NFS site that has 395.zip_mdd wrote:what tells you there is something tuned in that impreza?viper16 wrote:There might be tuning after all. Or its just gonna be pre-tuned cars

Re: First Gameplay Video for NFS Most Wanted
been a while since I post anything here, I just gave up on NFS since pro street and every other NFS that followed just didn't have that thing that would made me keep playing. I am so disappointed with EA and their new direction, I guess we won't see another Underground style NFS ever, but with that new forza horizon game set to release this year maybe EA will pull their pants up and realize what the fans want when forza horizon takes the cake for best racer of the year. I encourage everyone here to just drop NFS because I'm pretty sure at some point now you're getting pissed off with the poorly recycled story-lines, game-play and all this bull-crap we're getting. I'm really done with it man, done.
Re: First Gameplay Video for NFS Most Wanted
So this is the new face of most wanted? I thought most wanted was all about green dodge vipers, cars with 4 exhaust tips, slow mo crashes through road blocks, slow motion timer and graffiti fonts.
The things I like about the new most wanted -
1. It sounds pretty good actually.
2. Visually pleasing (although frostbite isnt the best option here)
3. Sense of speed. Its there, although, after playing the run, tortoises seem like they walk at 50 mph
4. Good old fashioned crashes.
5. The ford raptor. Now we can give those cops a taste of thier own rhinos.
6. Destructible environment.
What im worried about -
1. Criterion captured the real idea behind the original HP on thier remake. They don't seem to be doing that here.
2. It feels unpolished. Yes i know its an early build but the beta of HP was almost the finished game.
3. The trailer. It wasn't exciting enough
Waiting for more info.

Some pursue happpiness; others create it
Re: First Gameplay Video for NFS Most Wanted
WTF happened after Underground 2 and Most Wanted?!
I haven't buy single NFS after Most Wanted... EA care about marketing only, not good game anymore from 6 years ago. Its for 10 years old kiddies gamer who like mario kart (pick and drive) or burnout (lets crash and drive mindless slaughter).

Yeah , true story about EA . But it would be cool if in NFS : Most Wanted 2 would be :
1.Race events from first/regular Most Wanted ;
2.Customization ;
3.Old , good pursuits ;
4.No burnout sh*t ;
5.No more exotic cars only tuners and muscles .

Re: First Gameplay Video for NFS Most Wanted
My two complaints are this-
Number 1: What's with those crash physics? One tap to a competitor and they're off the road? Where's the fun in that!? It's not Burnout again, it's Need for Speed. Creating a virtualized, overblown game of bumper-cars kinda' ruins the experience for everyone.
Number 2: Let me reiterate this, just in case (almost) everyone else hasn't made it clear to EA. It's not Burnout, it's the Need for Speed franchise. The focus in races should be the racing, not the carnage you leave behind you. Don't get me wrong - carnage is great! At least when it's used to amplify the racing, not replace it.
Now, in pursuits, go crazy with the carnage. There's a time and a place for everything; just don't overshadow my racing please.
Other than that, it looks to be decent so far. Only time will tell, and there's a lot of time between now and fall.

Re: First Gameplay Video for NFS Most Wanted
new most wanted needs:
1-customisation (performance and visual)
2-a cool story line and cinematics
3-slow time button as original most wanted.
4-day-night cycle
5-wide highways
gameplay and physics are improvements over hot pursuit imo.
one touch and crush is not necessary, this is not burnout we all know.
with this game, underground and most wanted series can be united in one game.(day-night cycle)
but can the criterion achieve all of these in one game? i hope...
they have a mission to make a game that must sell good. that is only point and task for them.

I also find this odd and its right from NFS's website
http://www.needforspeed.com/buyMultiplayer Modifications: Need mods for better acceleration or stronger armor? You got ‘em.

Re: First Gameplay Video for NFS Most Wanted
Seems more like an online perk like in COD. Look at this though "'Custom Livery: Both cars come with a stunning satin black custom livery, only if you pre-order." Seems like there wont be customization, only changing the paint like in BP.viper16 wrote:I also find this odd and its right from NFS's website

If this game has large support from the gamers, criterion will continue to add just like in BP. Hopefully we get what we want before the game comes out though.

Guys, open your eyes please! There is NO VISUALLY CUSTOMIZE on cars....just look at the cover page before you buy. You will see stock Porsche racing against Aston while cops in background - IT SAYS EVERYTHING.
You will have stock body kits and upgraded engine and armor ... like I said NFS is already dead, FFS!
