Oh oh comon!! how is this game worse in graphics in NFSU2? Seriously, see the video again. The cars look like taken from a movie - and driving looks arcade-ish but exciting, not the dumb driving 'against the walls' of nfsu - or I just saw every single movie before it with bad demo-people.
Note how the suspension moves and the car bounces up and down when on a start straight (on a Lancer). It's so sweet. in NFSU cars don't have suspension, they are on skateboard wheels (that have a tendency to drop out of arches when the car jumps for like 4 feet (I thought stiffer suspension sort of shortens the shock travel as well, but not in EA's mind). This is just a first impression, by just one video, so obviously it's not final. But I saw NFSU2 demo movie and said 'it sucks' and this one is spot on for me. I'm not really bothered when NFSU2 or even Juiced is out, but this new game looks very nice. If it invloves customization, it should be great (since the producers did make nice stuff before).

Well the trailer looks good but it's only a movie. We need screenshots to rate the game on looks and stuff but so far so good. The game can look really good and at the same time it can be crap. Hope they can combine a great look and gameplay. I doubt that it will give the great feeling of racing like nfsu did but we'll see.
It has cops. Forgot to mention that. But no need to state the obvious - of course you need more than a video to judge it. I guess the 2005 game has to be better than the game that is basically a reworked 2002/2003 game. If you read what i wrote you'll see that all i said is based on the demo of the videos, this one looked a class above the NFSu2, to me anyway.

Yes, but the footage was surely taken from in game with the UG2 trailer. With this game though, we don't know if it has...yet.VladikRudy0017 wrote:look the graphics are going to probably be the same ingame because it's the same way in nfsu2 , the demo movie and the ingame look just alike, to me what i think makes the game look better and probably for all of u is that they use these cool camera angles to make it like a movie.
I haven't even heard of the San Francisco Rush games before, but if they were as good as I hear, then this should be great. I could be easily fooled, but I think this could offer some serious competition to the other street racing games.
But, since it's supposed to come in spring 2005, it's not really that important. We'll (probably) be tired of NFSU2, SRS and Juiced by then, and we'd want something better. So, if this game isn't any better, Midway have a problem. If it IS better, then they have a chance. They just have to hope people aren't tired of the genre of street racing when the game comes. Only time will tell. The trailer looks promising.
They have to raise the standards tho, for me they will be fighting against the PC version of GTA:SA, which will also arrive early 2005. This could get very interesting
