I like this cars:

DRIFT: Mazda RX7, Nissan 240 sx
DRAG: Nissan 240sx, Mitsubishi Lancer, Acura RSX
SPRINT/CIRCUIT: Acura RSX, Honda Civic, Nissan 240sx, VW Golf

Best all around I found was the GSX, but the Skyline was necessary for a few of the last tracks because of the accelleration out of the turns. I found that the skyline sucked on drift compared to the GSX. You would not think so but I had an easier time drifting the GSX than I did the RX7.

BTW I'm a little biased because I own a DSM (Talon/Eclipse AWD)

I used the miata for just about everything until i got the RX-7 for drag.
the miata handles lightly has plenty speed and is, imo, just about the best drift car i have found (i am still playing).
the RX-7 handles a little worse but will roll up on just about anything you come up against.

for drift i used the eclipse/MX5, for everything else it was the skyline

the skyline sucks at drift because it has such great stability and handling

i tried the RX-7 a few times, and although i did big slides, i still clocked better scores with the others, prolly coz i was used to sliding with em

That's the point in NFSU right? You start with a car with a top speed of 180km/h and then tune it so it goes like 350.

I have played only with the Mitsubishi Lancer ES and Im on races 101-102/111 with the same car, its my favorite, if you want to see it its in the car showroom.
p.s. You unlock cars for those who want the other cars, then you can fix them up, thats what I did

For originality's sake i'd go for the Peugeot 206 GTi, not (only) because i'm a chauvinistic frenchman but 'cause of it's looks and feather weigh. It just handles like in a dream and flies like a bullet right of the starting line. Plus, it's quite short which hleps a lot in tight drifting situations.

My favourite is the Honda Civic... Dunno why though... Maybe because we once had a civic

The performance difference are very small between cars anyway.

For me Personally I love the Celica... I am driving the Civiv right now on my 2nd completion until I get the celica. I own my own 2001 Celica 2001 GTS...

I also love the Civic and the Impreza.

man, i like many cars..but i guess the eclipse, civic and skyline makes it higher than the others on my chart...

in my opinion, the skyline is the best circuit car in the game, it just has great handling and acceleration out of corners. the same applies 4 sprint. skyline sucks in drift tho. it handles TOO good!! the best car for drift i think is the rx-7 hands down. skyline rules 4 drag tho, i did 14th and vine in 20.84 secs with the skyline, couldnt come near that with any other car. best car in the game tho, not the fastest is the toyota supra!!
