Juiced Will Be Released!!
I know one thing... I'm not going to play are racegame with a Joystick... IMO a joystick is for flightsims... wich I use it for...
a steering wheel OK... I would like a logitec MOMO steeringwheel...
juced looks somewhat nice... I'm not sure...
I'm a diehard NFS fan... from the beginning... and I'm verry conservative... not used to new!

Stig ... you drive in real life, of course you have that mentality. I have a steering wheel as well as my joystick, but actually I prefer using my joystick for juiced. Perhaps when I get the full game I go over to the racing wheel, but it's a mess to have to mount it every time. Joystick is a great compromise. But that's me, I like it that way. Nobody told you to race with a joystick. You can pick up a wheel or a gamepad, if you think. Anything but mere keyboard will do.
I'm afraid this whole Juiced discussion is turning into another AMD vs Pentium - ATi vs nVidia - FIFA vs PES - Doom3 vs HL2 - Microsoft vs the world ... discussion. It's always like that when a comunity becomes too narrowminded and too worshipping of its electronic "God". As I've posted in every other discussion turning out to be of this kind, I'm a gamer. I invest money in the best stuff, not in a name or a brand. This year PES is better than FIFA? Fine, I'll buy PES. That will kick EA in the butt and make them produce a better product for the next year, so that I may always get the cutting edge. Is AMD better this year? I buy an AMD (well ... not much of a choice in THIS matter as if I go away from Socket A I have to rebuild the computer starting from the motherboard ... ). Is ATi kicking nVidia's butt? ATi for me. how about Juiced against NFSU? Same thing. Only, I DO start with prejudices. Why? Because NFSU2 is controversial. It looks exactly the same as last year, but supposedly implements a damage model. It implements a damage model - meaning a hint of realism - but refils your NOS when you slide well ... errrr ... what??? I hope the demo proves me wrong. As I said, I want the best product, whatever it might be. My feeling from the Juiced demo, NFSU videos, news interviews and screens, is that Juiced will be everything I want, while NFSU will remain a lego racers.
That's about the oddest thing I've heard from you. The change from Hot Pursuit 2 to Underground was as radical as any. Everything from the environment to the modding to the driving skills involved to the crappy online comunity. It was a complete change. If you could survive that, you could easily survive going over to a genuine racing sim instead of a bling flying cars game. To be conservative, you should worship the series up to Underground and trash Underground. That's just for being coherent. Incoherent I also find that a driving instructor minded on small details and knowing his cars inside out does not want the most perfect replica of handling and looks that he can get, but goes for kid action. Might be me, but I just like planes, I don't fly them, yet I want the most fedele reproduction available.TheStig wrote:I'm a diehard NFS fan... from the beginning... and I'm verry conservative... not used to new!

well like you said... a change must not be that hard...
so I desided to DL the Juiced Official demo... and I am impressed... it looks good... not so much better then the shiny NFS U but also not worse... just completely difirent!
I like the fact that is has more cars... loads more that is..
(and no SUV's)
the handling isn't so bad
you can get used to it even with a keyboard
the Supra is tricky cause of the RWD but fun in a way...
when you know how to react on a slide you can ajust it but you have to be quick and know it commin...
(looks like my skidtraining comes in place
)... it is just a matter of knowing when to hit the trottle and when not...
the FWD cars is a lot easier... I had that figured out in a sec...
some changes to the setup and fly away....
does anybody know the car list cause I only seen some list but I seen some weird things in the lists... officially it says 48 cars and I seen a list with 48 but with double cars like the ACURA NSX and the HONDA NSX.... Acura RSX Type S and the Honda Integra Type R... (both same model..)
I like the fact that is more realistic.. (btw what I seen there aren't that much performance brands... or am I wrong??? could be me....
I think I will order it... (not for sale here YET) but I still will buy NFS also... (and yes it was a change to go to underground... but I like tuning and good tuned cars... but I don't like the new "racers" it got.....
but the reason for me to get NFS is pure FUN... not realism just pure fun... blasting trough town with 200 MPH

I've definitely seen some GReddy decals on the cars the demo randomly presented, so I'm positive they are in the game but haven't been listed on that list. Add to that the fact that isn't the official list. I don't know, perhaps there really are redundant cars. Yet it would surprise me. I believe it more to be a matter of an inaccurate unofficial list.
