I know that I will catch alot of heat for saying this, that being said NFS Underground is worst NFS yet and I have all of them. I cant understand what would make EA drag this gaming franchise out into the pathetic street racing ricer community. If its all about the dollar then you wont be getting mine anymore. The Fast and the furious was a movie and not a good one at that. I never asked EA to make us a driving simulator but this game goes against everything that NFS has ever stood for. NFS was about driving dream cars at breakneck speeds, not pimping out a Honda Civic with "cool graphics." I know that sales of NFSHP2 didn't go that well. However, it could have sold alot better if they had simply playtested it with some of the members of the community and listened to what we wanted. I realize that time and money constraints lead to shortened development schedules. It had to come out when it had to come out, thats understood. But why couldn't you release an update for it like EA does for MOAA with all of the mission packs. Would it have killed EA to release an updated expansion pack for NFSHP2 with new tracks, cars, and weather effects? Would it have killed you to listen to your fans? If I want to see pimped out ricer crap with giant wings on front wheel drive cars I will just walk out my front door. Need for speed is dead and EA killed it. This is truely the end of one of the greatest racing game franchises ever.

NFS UNDERGROUD is better than NFSHP2 and NFS high stakes at least.

Your so very wrong, but I guess your'e entitled to your opinion, I happen to like cars with big wings and wild paint jobs. I would rather have a tastefully modded Skyline than a Ferrari.

NFS is not DEAD, EA just messed this one up bit

you are a really stupid person. Yes NFS Fanchise is about driving dream cars at high speeds. But Underground is for people who love cars, and know what to do to a car to make it go faster than any other car. A modifitied car for can beat dream car. Dream Cars cost a lot of money and modifing a car is a lot cheaper. All im trying to say is that your know shiznit all about cars. If your think u know shiznit about cars, tell me how:

-a supercharger works.
-a turbocharger works.

and don't go searching the web to see how it works.

The explosion in a cylinder on an engine occurs when a mixture of air and gasoline confirming to a precise ratio is compressed and then you apply an electrical spark to ignite it. In order to get a bigger explosion which will make the engine make more power you must get in more air and fuel in this ratio, you can't just add fuel alone. The turbocharger accomplishes this by using the exiting exhaust gas to drive a fan wheel that is on one end of a shaft that also has a compressor fan wheel on the other end. The compressor fan wheel is pushing more air into engine to be mixed with more fuel in order to accomplish more power production. The amount of exhaust gas exiting engine is a product of how hard engine is working. If you drive easy on level ground the turbocharger is not pushing any additional air and the turbo is effectively not working. If you depress throttle then the exhaust gas volume will increase proportional to how hard you push throttle and the turbo will push additional air in that same proportion. The speeding up of the turbo to the speed at which it produces additional air flow takes an amount of time that varies a bit depending on when you get heavy into throttle. From a standing start it make take 1 -1.5 seconds but it may be only a few thousands of a second at higher engine speeds.

Supercharger operates like a high speed fan propeller / impeller, sucking air into the center of the supercharger and pushing it to the outside of the rapidly spinning (40,000 + rpm) impeller blades. The air naturally travels to the outside of the blades because of its centrifugal force created by its rotating inertia. At the outside of the blades, a "scroll" is waiting to catch the air molecules. Just before entering the scroll, the air molecules are forced to travel through a venturi, which creates the internal compression. As the air travels around the scroll, the diameter of the scroll increases, which slows the velocity of the air, but further increases its pressure.

The centrifugal supercharger enjoys several advantageous characteristics that make it the most popular supercharger design in the aftermarket world. First, it is simple and reliable because it has very few moving parts - just a few gears and the impeller. Second, the centrifugal supercharger produces very little heat because of its internal compression ratio. It is also small in size and very versatile because it can "free-wheel" and allow the engine to suck air through it or even flow air backwards. For this reason it can be placed anywhere in the intake tract - it can even "blow through" the throttle body, meaning it can be mounted nearly anywhere. It is also the most thermally efficient supercharger, meaning that it produces the lowest discharge temperature.

Anything else pl? Would you like to to explain coilover suspension or variable valve timing maybe. You are very foolish person to assume that I know nothing about cars. I wasn't talking about people who mod engines and I fully embrace anything that will give a car higher performance. But a can muffler is not a high performance exhaust, and cool pictures on the outside dont make it go faster, neither do spoilers. So whos stupid now?

If you did know that and that is your explaination then I have alot of respect for you, as, I am afraid to admit there is no way I could have explained it in such a way as you have there.

This is one of those arguments where there is no right or wrong and everything is purely down to a matter of taste.

But.............

If you come onto a website forum for NFSU enthusiasts and start slaggin and slating something that people like then you must be able to take a crit from those who dont agree.

I am a Street Ricer as you so nicely put it, I have a modded car in real life (Carlton GSi 2000 - Its not that amazing - just a filter, full magnex exhaust and some side skirts I dont the name of cos they came from a guy on E-Bay)

I hang around on the streets with my mates talking about our cars and occasionally going to my local industrial estate to race each other, we listen to loud music and eat greasy burgers!!!! I meet loads of new people and I love my motors

So....... For me a Heavily modded Skyline or RX7 is a dream car, a Ferrari is an Impossible car and I except that with the grace it deserves

I resent you getting all smug because you have the knowlege that you have either found or knew

Narrow Minded is what will come up at your next parent teacher consultation, go home and play with your lego

P.S apologies everyone else for that outburts, as I was writing this post it made me angrier and angrier.................................Lol...... So not worth it

there will be NO Rice Vs Muscle car Flamming on this site, i knew this would go this way as soon as i saw this. it happens on every other site and i'm REALLY sick of it. it all comes down to personal opinion........i myself love some rice cars and love some muscle cars...........these kind of FLAME wars are just totally STUPID..........it's just the same as arguing about what kind of food you like. so keep this discussion sensible or it will be locked.

lol he got caught! The point is: Need for speed has nowhere in the name "Dream Cars" so that is just what the game used to have and thankfully they made this game, I used to get bored of NFS games by 1 month, I wont get bored that fast with this game. So, need for speed is need for speed , not necesarily need for speed with dream cars!
