GT2

Post by Jmac- »

Just wondering if anyone else has had enough spare time to get the following on GT2 (without cheating) :

100% completion
100% win ratio
60 gold medals
All done in 226 days (1 day for each race, 1 day for each license)

I've been working on it over the last 3-4 months or so ...

I thought there's a known bug for GT2 that restrict the players from getting 100%...
I think the max allowed was 98% rite...?? :?
Dunno if your GT2 version has the bug fixed.....

It's possible that my version has it fixed, although I have a sneaking suspicion that it's not a bug, but people just missing the last few races. I know I had 98.X% before I did the super license races in Gran Turismo League (The randomized races), which is, oddly enough, the same number they say is the max you can get.

I have 100% on another memory card, so if I had a digi-cam, I could show you. It can be done, though.

I have haerd that the 98,x% thing was because they where poalning to include sonme drag races, project thet they had to drop to finish the game on time.
Now, I read that it is possible to have 100% game completion, since when you win a Sunday Cup (for example) you recieve some percentage. You should run it a few times after finishing all the other races. To have a 100%

I didn't mean that it took me 226 real world days. I meant days on the game (each event takes one day). I did this over the course of several months.

There were 219 events in total and you start on day 1, so that brings you to 220 days ... Each time you enter a license, it takes one day (which means you can't get a gold, leave, save, and come back or else it will take more than a day) and there are 6 licenses, so that brings the total to 226 days :)

I had to sell a bunch of cars to ensure that I didn't lose any of the manufacturer races, which I did last (invested ~30,000 in mods per car).

Good score, but is it the US version of the game? I got both the Euro and US of it.
I tried the US one first and got disappointed, mainly on the handbrake or emergency brake as some call it.
It didn't throw your car sideways while cornering, INSTEAD it acted as a SUPER brake. So it is no go if your car go into understeering and you try to correct using the handbrake.

I also tried it in extreme speed, 180 Mph, still it worked as a brake but no sideways action, I kept the wheel all to the left while pulling the handbrake which normally causes a spinout.
All that happened was that it braked down.

If I do that in the European version, it starts going around and around and around.
In other words a spinout!

US Version ...

Yeah, the e-brake doesn't exactly work accurately, at least in this version ...
