show me the 'spaceship' so I can compare. ....
To me it looked like Renault is entering DTM all of a sudden. The civil version will be toned down, unfortunately...

wow! Nice one Urq!
In Spain we are used to see the civil version (Megane II) .... Here it was released about a year ago. isnt the same in your country? it is a weird car.
However I have always wanted to see a competition version, I knew it would be great. And I was right, it is an agressive model, I love it!

Pff, that's not a spaceship. That's wacko F-Zero Caption Falcon.
And it's not the engine from a 350Z.. It's THEIR engine. See, the 350Z uses a Renault one.
And I have to say it's not really bad looking.. But it isn't nice either.

It is true, The Z uses the RENAULT engine. For some reason I love the cars which includes that engine

PSZeTa, I said it used the same engine that you find on 350Z, read carefully next time before going all 'caps'!

Nah, I was just ''learning'' others something.. Who knows, some might not know.
But it still sounds better as ''It has the same engine that the 350Z has'', instead of ''It has the same engine the Vel Satis (?) has''.

Unfortunately? You could hide a 20-person family of illegal immigrants in those huge scoops and in that massively thick wing.

ROFL
It is not that big! Notice the wheels are about 60% of total height.

Meh, I like them DTM style arches, looks so mean and purposeful. Of course, this is a car for Megane trophy cup or whatever they want to put in and compete (FIA WTCC starts next year - so may be there?).
What I respect about it is the formula which in my view is the pure motorsport (RWD, midmounted engine).

very futuristic looking. But I'd suspect that even driving over a manhole cover would send the whole rig to oblivion

Very nice front, but a really ugly rear.

@UrQ: You too, my friend
I wouldn't mind having one of these; or the Clio V6 for that matter. Yummy!

Yup, all of a sudden I find myself liking a share of French cars... the 406Coupe (my favourite), the Clio V6, this Megane Trophy, the RC Spades Peugeot Cars, the 907 Concept from Paris show (ooh, that one was hot!).
