not 5000 for a MR2 but 5000 cheaper then a new type Celica T-Sport. so still 15000.... :?

the ST-185 eh... well for that series of celica we only have the 2.0 GTi as max performance, we don't have the GT4 here, sometimes one is imported. I just seen a ST-205 GT4 for 15.000 and a bit. (euro) but I don't expect it to be still for sale next year...

i wanted the 6th gen celica, but there is no point to get it unless it is a st205... anyways, the mr2 is a nice car, however, can't u easily get a mk3 supra for cheaper price? and the mk3 will deliver more power and more potential than the celica or the mr2.. granted the style is outdated (80's style) and it has that annoying head gasket problem, the supra is a nice car to have... by the way, the torque bolts on the 7mgte engine of the mk3 can be fixed by tightening it... i dont know how much, but there are a lot of forums discussing the 7mgte's head problems... thus with the head gasket problem out of the way, the supra seems like a good choice over the celica or mr2.....
but between the celica or the mr2, ill go for the celica....

Mk 3 Supras are also 3900lbs. Unless you've got a boatload of hp, the power to weight ratio's going to be pretty terrible (also a few niggly reliability issues). FWD also only exists to help bad drivers in the rain. Get the MR2.

even the Mk3 is pretty expensive here... in a good state it's expensive, if not in such a good state.... it's not so expensive but it will cost shoploads to get it in a good condition. it is already a classic here...

Why you keep saying 'here' - can't you just shmooz of yourself to Germany or Switzerland and get the car there? Would be cheaper I think...

Drewb99 - that's just nonsense, don't give this attitude that FWD is for whimps who can't drive in the rain.

I know about importing but the extra Tax I have to pay to get a car imported... is HUGE... it only workes if the price is really low... sadly

mk3 supras dont cost that much int he U.S.., and they dont weigh 3900 lbs.. more like 3400... but anyways, with 220 hp it has lots of potential...and rearwheel drive doesnt necessarily mean crappy ass handling in the rain... the mr2 is also rearwheel drive

Mods like exhaust (straight through muffler & removed resinator), intake, spark plug wires, ground wires always help. Ground wires are universal.... I'm sure you will find an intake from another car that fits yours (that's what I did with my Lanos)... custom exhaust is also easy to do (replace your stock muffler with a straight through muffler (Tanabe, HKS, Ractive, etc) and remove the resinator (2nd muffler)). All that would probably add 20 hp at the crank if you're lucky.

pretty hard... I thought Blitz had some stuff but it looks like only for the Xa and Xb.. looks like the TC is to new... :?

think you can only add a powerfilterset and exahaust.. (universal)

Camshafts, custom turbo+intercooler, Power Boost Valve.

Enough choices.

You don't really need to buy camshafts, you can just.. Yeah, whatever it's called.

And you can basically take off a intercooler from any car, but I have no idea where you should get a custom turbo.

And Power Boost Valves.. I have no idea.

Depends where you want the power. If your car is particularly gutless at the lower end of the power band, supercharge it. If it has little to no top end power, turbocharge it.

TRD's fiddling with a new Supercharged version that's due out soon, which also includes a nicer new suspension (I've heard softness problems and torque steer are issues with the tC's). Nab some of those parts when they come out from the catalog.

Supercharging is also cheaper than turbocharging.

And if it's only a low boost kit, then you don't need an intercooler either.
Water injection will do just fine.

But you may have to reduce the cylinder compression, and/or use premium unleaded fuel.
