Hey, people! What are you talking about? About vinyls? How can you didn't notice OUTSTANDING news in that article???

Yes!!! We can turn that crazy nitro system OFF!!!How many Live gamers will able to participate in wheel-to-wheel races?
Kristian von Fersen: Need for Speed Underground 2 will allow up to six players to compete online simultaneously. There will also be a variety of tunable options in online to customize the racing experience. Players that prefer a more traditional Nitrous system can turn off the Race Breaker, or turn off collisions if they're not into having opponents win by cheap tactics.

Well it may be some disadvantage for turning off the "Race Breaker"... Why? Because the AI's will be using it (not sure if the AI's won't be using the Race Breaker when we are not), and the AIs will win eventually...
Regarding the 4 unique layers of vinyls, I hope that we can put unique vinyls on the hood INDIVIDUALLY and we can put decals on a customed hood. That'll be great...

No, this option will be enabled only in online. Turning the collisions off will be also possible only during online. Which is cool I think.Andre_online wrote:Well it may be some disadvantage for turning off the "Race Breaker"... Why? Did anybody hear about possibility to SAVE raplays? Because EA have noticed many times about replays, but I've never heard from them about the possibility to save them. I hope that it will be possible, otherwise replays will not be any useful...

Hmm, good point there USSR! Never heard of saving the replays, but I still think that it's cool to watch ourselves race against the AIs!!
Also in the interview, I read a section about the new modes and it says that there ain't gonna be pink slips...

Kristian von Fersen: Need for Speed Underground 2 prides itself on the open world environment. Using the open world as a foundation for the game gave us an entirely new direction to focus on. Where players used to be driving on closed tracks they now have the freedom to go anywhere and do anything. We decided to take advantage of the open world by introducing a brand new mode called Outrun Racing. In an online Outrun race players will have the entire world at their disposal with the ultimate goal of losing their opponents, any way they can. When a player falls behind the leader by over 300 meters they get knocked out of the outrun, but can continue to enjoy watching the action unfold in real-time through our unique replay cameras. Players can even setup Outrun tournaments where they will compete in consecutive outrun races winning points as they go.

Still the same disadvantage, except that it's in a slightly different way. What if the other ONLINE players are using and you AREN'T using the Race Breaker? Still, you'll lose, unless you're a VERY good driver.USSRsergUSSR wrote:No, this option will be enabled only in online. Turning the collisions off will be also possible only during online. I am pretty sure that it will be one global option for all players, just like ^Sparco^ said.Andre_online wrote:Still the same disadvantage, except that it's in a slightly different way. And one question to Bojan (if he finds time to answer): did you get any response from developers about the difference in cars between american and european versions? Is it confirmed? And what are that 2 misterious Hondas which gonna be in the game?

Yes, what of these two mystery Hondas. I know that the S2000 and the Civic are in NFSU2, so does this mean that there are two additional Hondas in NFSU2? If so they should at least have the 98 Honda Prelude H22 VTEC in the game.
Here's a fine example of a Honda Prelude.

(Keep in mind the front headlights are a conversion)

Fraps movies will have 100 times bigger size than game replays.
Replays are needed not only to see how cool you raced. It will dramatically help in conducting tourneys, we will have clean record standings (not like now on gametimesonline.com), and many more cool stuff.
Saving replays is the last thing which I want for NFSU2. All others are already done.
