You also get points for bouncing the car using the hydraulics. I quite like this feature, I got the 350Z dancing like a nightclub goer on Ecstacy! And if you pump up the hydraulics, it looks like a 350Z SUV...
This demo is now really growing on me. I've just turned off the Stability Control in the options, and AT LAST the 350Z corners like a car! I can even win Circuit with stability off - with it on, I kept understeering into central reservations, walls and stuff, and ending up last. Then again, I've always loved over-steery cars.
Oh, and I meant to say earlier, I think one of my favourite new minor features is that it seems you can have different styles of speedometer and turbo boost meter. OK on one of the cars it looks like they have stolen it from a Rover 75, but hey, that's still a cool car, in a retro way. And the replays absolutely kicks bottom.

i downloaded it last night, and i loved it. my only question is this, when you go into a shop or bring up your messages, my system hangs for a few seconds and then resumes like normal.......its not THAT big of a deal but i like seamless transitions...and from what it seems this demo is NOT one to show them off. Is anyone else having this problem? my system is as follows: athlon 64 3000+, radeon 9800 (non-pro), and 1024mb of ddr-400 ram. any help or suggestions would be appreciated. thanx!!!
ps. playing at 1024 with the details bar halfway up and no lag

It's been another great day for me. It seems like updating your VGA drivers does actually make the card faster. It still lags a little bit (MSI Nvidia FX5600 at 256 mb) on 1024x768 with full detail on, so I left it on 800x600 and it's much smoother.
Also, I have a laptop with a very odd card. The laptop is a Toshiba A20, 2.66 Ghz, Trident CyberAladdin. Yeah, I'm reading it right. It's probably one of them no name cards with very little 3D capability. Well, Underground lagged like hell, even with everything on minimum. Today, for the heck of it, I installed the demo on my laptop and what a shock, it's playable. With everything on minimum, there is very little lag and I can even put the detail to the max with the lowest resolution and the lag is only minimum to moderate!!!
I know what I'll be doing during those boring English classes.

yea, thanks for telling me that...i was a little worried it was just me. Like i said there is absolutely NO lag in races/free roam and once you get into the menus and stuff but there is a few seconds of hang when exiting/entering shops and reading messages off of the phone. its not THAT bad....but i just would prefer a little more seamless transition between environments.
damn summ... you can be over NEGATIVE!
I tried to crash into the walls on purpose but I did loose massive speed and often got out of course.... so I think it is a lag... but then again I'm not really into online racing.... I only race against people I know so expect them to be honest.
ok the DEMO has some downs... but it is not all down!
+ like the new GFX (small improvements cars look better IMO)
+ like the Free roam (fun and driveble after a few tries... map is good and logical)
+ engine sound is GREAT simple as that
not bad: music
- bodykits are still weird... I hope we can still use normal stuff
IMO some driving effects are better then in NFS U1... for instance now you can make doughnuts with a rearwheel drive (the 350 duh) and In nfs U1 you could not normally do that... you needed a FWD car for that....
and I don't really bother that the rest isn't to realistic... fun would be soon over if you would spin your RWD car off on lots of corners while driving in free roam....
In juiced I like the fact of the realism... but that is pure racing on a track! but driving in free roam... neah... I want simply to have fun....!
so Conclusion IMO
NICE, looks nice, and it's FUN IMO!

I really think people complain too much!
- As for the handling of the car, did you forget you can fine tune your settings at a test track and a dyno in the full game?!
- Also, I think they didn't put the damage model in the demo, I think it will be in the full game though. I noticed the 3rd breaklight doesn't work in the demo, altough I did see it working in a movie @ IGN (yes, I look at small details
) A demo must not be too large, or it'll take hours to download. So what they do is leave details out of it.
- If you read the new hands-on preview @ IGN, you would know that EA created some fantasy parts for Underground 2. The weird bodykits will probably be part of those fantasy parts. There will also be normal parts, so if you don't like the fantasy parts, just don't install them!!!
I like the demo and I'm pretty sure the full game will rock

Reverse works for me in any mode, but i rather dogding traffic to gain nitro, As for what slows down the game most, I've come up with 3 things, resolution over 800*600(laggy slow down), enhanced contrast(major slow down-looks darker with it, i leave it off) and finally anti-alisasing(turn it off in your video card display settings, graphics enhancement it makes aren't noticeable when you're racing) and with those 3 lag settings off, then game runs sweet, but i still rather the reflective looking cars in nfsu1 over the one i've seen in the demo.
