I have DAP, and I'm using 56K... My highest rate was 3.4 Kbps, and the estimated time is at least 29 hours... :?

Don't use the first possibility to improve all detail to high... Go to the advanced screen and there you gotta srew everything up to high EXCEPT Antialiasing... That doesn't seem to work in the demo...

The rest ist kinda bugfree... Didn'T notice one... Just a very fine game :)

Did you realize that in directory '..NFSU2demo/SOUND/ENGINE'
there are files called:

- GIN_Ferrari_360
- GIN_Porsche_Cayenne
...
and so on? :?:
I think they are sound files of Cars who are just driving around... dont think they will be in UG2

Would be the most stupid thing ever. Using a licensed car as traffic, and not as a racing car. Like wasting money.

I already told it in a few topics!

but here I go to make it overall noticeble.

SLOW DOWN ON THE NFS U2 DEMO TOPICS!

we know you're exited but that doesn't mean that when I come here I see 121532648 new topics related to NFS U2's demo with laptimes and stuff you are waiting for... where I have to lock like half of the topics!

and then to know that T-Shine just left after locking topics!

We from the NFS unlimited staff got more to do then checkin constantly the NFS general box for useless topics from guys that are here for the first time and spam all over the board!

so easy on the posting new topics k??

Totally agree, there are already enough topics (some of them are twice....)

We have to look around and post in the correct thread before creating a new one. For example I created a thread called Outrunning but there wasnt any Outrun related thread before... Now you can post there and continue doing that when the full game is released (not only for the demo).

We could post in another thread for circuit records for example... but we mustnt create a thread called 48.78seconds lap, another called 48.52s lap etc.... (I have seen it LOL).

Another thread for Downhilll... is it really so difficult? We should organize! ;)

I couldn't set my resolution in the game to higher than 800x600 cause it all bugged out nasty, and my video card is an Nvidia Gforce FX 128 mb... so hopefully its just the demo. But I really dont mind that, game is still awesome, gotta love outrun

The engine sound files- there's listings for a Mazda Protege, a Prelude, a Bronco, Ferarri 360, Nascar car (?), 300ZX, Porsche Cayanne, and a 'Cavel' (Chevy Cavalier?).

Or that :P

Just adding a note to my sound files bit- you can actually rename the 350Z's sounds and replace them with any of the ones in there, for instance I made the regular green one use the Ferarri 360's sound and the other ones sound like a Ford Bronco. Oddly enough, it works with no trouble at all- the 360's got a quite nice engine note, I'd reccomend it.

The Prelude and the Protege sound like tuner cars to me. While the rest are most likely traffic cars and the nascar car is probably for one of the muscle cars. Files which are usually meant for the full version always seem to end up in demos somehow. I for one am glad that there is a Prelude in the game. (Hopefully) the fifth generation model.

Look for the blue one here http://www.visionautodynamics.com/interface.htm

Here is another one with a Type R headlight conversionhttp://www.importtuner.com/features/0203it_whatittakes/

Then again the prelude and the 300ZX sound more like tuner cars in Underground 2. I can only imagine what those cars would like with some of those awesome body parts.

Im reading all those graphics probs and cant understand.....
I have:
1.2 Athlon AMD
256 RAM DDR
GeForce4 MX440 64Mb
40Gb HDD

I put 3 days to get ALL drivers for ALL hardware i got, and now i run game: 1024x768, all or high or medium-high and it slows down only if i do too much smoke(press together brake and accelerate), or i go over 320kph(yes its possible in demo). If i set world detail to medium i have no probs at all.....
