Good points about using real cities there, guys! I had assumed that people could tell the difference between real life and fantasy in an arcade-type game; but you are right, in that there are some right idiots about who probably would try it. Although it never happened after Davilex released London Racer (also known as M25 Racer) - but probably because this was a crap game, unlike NFSUx, which, of course, rocks!
Now, basing a game in a realistically modelled City that I know well just really appeals to me. I would hope that nobody would be stupid enough to try racing there in real life, for one very good reason: like all major cities, the roads are never empty enough. Capital cities don't sleep. However, cities such as London, Paris and New York have, as stated above, been used as the backdrop for games before (precisely because of their vibrance and beauty).
I have to drive in Central London for my job on a regular basis - and on average I cover the vast distance of 8 miles in an hour; the other day I actually covered a whole 2 miles in an hour! You could not race there at any time of the day or night in real life, but it would be nice to imagine what it would be like if you could!

Well for the PS2 that's certainly not true. I friend of mine has the NFSU2 demo for his PS2 and the graphics are as ugly as hell compared to the PC. The XboX graphics are much better (I have one myself), but I'm not sure if they're better than the PC graphics...Andre_online wrote:@^Sparco^:I knew it a long time ago since the PC demo came out... I remember telling some peeps that the PS2 & the XBox graphics is like 10-X better than the PC... Not sure if it's because of their graphic cards or the game itself...
Well another thing: Im getting.... "tired"... of this:

It is ok that it is advertisemnts in the game but IMO the Cingular thing is excesive. At first I had no clue what that symbol was. Then I googled for it and found that it is a communications company, mobile phones GPS etc. Supposedly the GPS we have in the game is from Cingular lol.
Well the worst thing is that I can't find a way to remove the logo from the screen. I set off all the HUDs, gauges and stuff but nothing.... So the screenshots you will take will include the mentioned logo. More advertising.....
At least the logo is good looking...

Some videos show 10th november and 16th november, Im confused!. About the advertisements... hasn't any1 been bothered by the Burger King? lol It wont bother me since I like BK , the cingular thing doesnt bother me @ all, as long as the songs dont advertise something other than their CDs its cool with me lol, the whole game is an advertisement for so many things from aftermarket parts 2 car brands lol.

I'm not at all bothered by the Burger King adverts, as at least BK make decent food. However, I would be bothered if is it was MacDonalds, because their burgers really suck (and indeed taste like) shizzle IMHO. Thank the Lord that Macky D's are suffering in the UK at last - hopefully they will pull out and leave the market for much more edible fast food.
I also think that KFC should have adverts in the game, as they make the best fast food of all (and I have to say that for legal commercial reasons

i think if ea want to put corperate logos in the game, the corperations should have to pay big time, and that the game should be cheaper to buy, cause it would be sponsored. i dont mind the car/tuner related stuff. nfsu was the #1 selling game world wide last year, thats alot of potential advertising.
