I know that EA wouldnt be thinking about releasing A new underground for a while but it could happen who knows?, If it did happen what improvements or new cars would you like to see in the game?
Personally i would love to see more cars, more V8's more ricers and maybe if you finish the game you could get a Lamborghini or sumthing, i would also like to see Nitros Refills, DAMAGE, Car clock outs, an incar view? etc yea well stuff like that.
Yea like midnight club 2, put in some seriously beefy bikes like harleys aswell as jap bikes like the kawasaki ninja. But the bike races you have to be seperate to car races cause bike would whoop a ricers butt lol.
Another thing that would be good in NFSU3 is convertables!!!
I'm not sure bikes would be a good idea as it would compromise the physics engine, but I think variety is needed with more old classics as well as new cars.
Exotics should stay the realm of the Hot Pursuit series but I do believe that Cops should be in 3 as cops are an integral part of illegal street racing. What would be more enjoyable than after finishing a race you have to lose the cops you attracted during it. It would add a whole new dimension to the game.
I'm sure EA is working on a next NFS game - and a safe bet is that it will be a GT4 style game - many cars, many tracks. THere is not niche like that for PC and EA have mentioned it previously that they want to fill it - and NFSu2 with its free roam was a good test. So I'm pretty sure this is the last of rice car games for a while, and that the next NFS is gonna be a game with a lot of cars and styled on Sony's Grand Turismo. And like I said, chances are EA is working on it already.
Being that MCO is my favourite driving game ever, I think that concept, merged with modern cars would be a winner. I think EA screwed the pooch with MCO by targetting it to a very specific audience. The persistent online community was very cool. I would just want the free roaming ability of NFSU2 added. And it goes without saying that online play being a pay by the month affair would have detered the vast majority of potentiol players.
IMO bikes in a car game is a bad Idea.... I like NFS as a car game.... as it always was...
not saying that I don't like bikes... cause I love bikes... love to drive em (in real life) but I don't think it would be a fair race... aspecially in a drag... cause bikes can be tuned also....like nitro and other exhaust, intake etc. (seen movies of a lightly tuned Busa smashing a Dodge Viper with 900 BHP!)
the thought of Urq was good I guess... a GT style game...
I like that... loads of cars... with loads of options
Oh, it's not my thought. It's something EA mentioned in one of the interviews. So it's not just guessing, i think we can expect something along the lines of GT to be made for PC using EA and NFS brand. DOn't know how, but can't see why not. OR Hot Pursuit 3 - but I am not gonna even bother with that if it comes out - the NFSHP2 was so bad.
Many more cars (about 400 - I might actually find one in the game I like )
Old and modern cars.
Muscle and ricer wagons (and DECENT SUV's, i.e. Range Rover)
Visual damage.
Behind-the-steering-wheel first person view.
Stunt tracks.
A better online lobby system. For example, the ability to see all races online at one time without having to page through filter by filter. This will increase the number of players in the "other modes" that folks don't normally play.
A real-time lobby display. If a game fills up then show it. Don't let it sit there as 3/4 players until the next refresh.
More realistic car "leagues". Ie. a tricked out Miata should never stand a chance against a fully tricked out Mustang or GTO or Skyline, etc. If you choose the smaller cars then you should be racing the smaller cars. Keeping fully spec'd cars competitive within their own league will drastically improve the "realism" of the competition.
Throw in some Firebirds and Camaros. I know NFS U:series is a ricer game, but c'mon...I had plenty of ricers challenge me back in my Formula days. If they can do it on the street they should be willing to do it in the game too.
Underground expansions that build on the stand alone adding tracks and cars over time between major releases. For example, Euro-track pack, Japan-track pack, etc. And car packs like Muscle car pack, Exotic pack, Vintage racers pack, etc. How about a Euro-racer pack? (Wouldn't you love to race a Noble M12, Caterham, or an Elise in NFS?)
BETTER INSTRUCTIONS! I realize they want someone to make money on the strategy guides, but at least describe all functionality in the manual that came with the CD or at the very least in a PDF or TXT file in the game folder.
Include a Trax editor with MP3 import capability with the game. How cool would that be?
Allow players to save more than one set of specs per racing profile, and per car. Eg. 3 Circuit tunes, 4 Drag tunes, 2 Drift tunes for Car A. That way you can save more tuning styles per car to suit different tracks.
Allow players to select their car and tune AFTER they join an online race, rather than before. This way you can "choose your weapon" once you see what other folks are running.
Improve the chat system in a game room. Don't force users to click on "Chat here" every time they want to enter text. And allow users to click on screen elements (like start race) whether or not they have finished chatting.
Improve the EA messenger service or get rid of it completely. It is nice to be able to message people but it is damn inconvenient the way it works. Going back and forth between the messenger and game room, reading one message at a time, etc. It wants to act like MSN or ICQ or AIM, but it doesn't work that way at all. Either go all the way or get rid of it completely.
Adjustable camber plates are offered in upgrades, but there is no tuning setting for it? Maybe this is my mistake and I'm missing it. But I found this to be odd.
Support for ACT labs controllers!
I'm sure I could keep going if I thought about it but this is the stuff that is glaring to me. And don't get me wrong, I think this is a fantastic game. Bordering on a sim, even. Incredible graphics that are VERY frame rate friendly. Excellent online play. VERY fun career mode. Great feel to the whole thing. The driving experience is top-notch. I haven't had this much fun since Gran Turismo first came out! But if EA addressed the above issues (in this post and others) then it could really step up out of the "arcade" realm and into the sim racer league.
This is the perfect time to offer suggestions too. It is possible that EA is still in a phase to make course corrections in the design of the future Underground games. Whether they read these forums or not...that's another story. I'm sure they must.
what about being able to have up to 4 or 5 cars in your garage in career mode that way if u want to race lets say ur lancer u can and then if u want to race your rx7 next race u can without having to sell and buy just to change cars.
If they did make a new Underground i think they should put in like heaps of ricers, heaps of muscle, and heaps of European Sports, make it more intersting.
If they just bothered to convince official manufacturers of body kits to allow their stuff into the game - this NFSU2 would probably sell 50% more. ANd i'd pay extra 10bucks for it as well.
AS it stands right now - best cars are stock cars. LIke the stuff i've seen in showroom that was done to A3 and TT - man, it should be just cencored, horrible crap, chizzled bodykits, etc... i'm hoping Juiced is released with all the nice kits in 6 months or so, because good sounds won't keep me playing this game for much long.
lol haha, i agree with UrQuattro, the body parts in nfsu2 are horrible...
man, some of the screenshots we've seen.... ... >.<
yeh, a carbon fibre hood is alrite, but when u covert a widebody kit to carbon fibre....... ur car is just carbon >.<.....
i think they went a LITTLE bit over with the carbon lol...
anyway - if EA come out with a GT style game....... that would be awesome...... just hope they can pull it off lol.....
just hope they get the physics right, cause i rkn GT physics are the most playable in a racing sim.
