How to do good drift?

I am search for drift technique.. I am not very good at it... a lot of time just by luck. I found this post

but other than the first 3 posts, everyone else just talk about which car is better blah blah blah.... enough said

I'ld like to learn the basic first,, like when to turn? inner curve or outter curve?, when to step on the break? when to press e-break? when to step gas again etc

can someone draw a diagram of procedure doing a good drift?

Im a expert and i dont press e brake. The real pros dont e brake into corners only when they are going to hit another racer.

Just slide into the corners like ur making a sharp corner. Turn 2 secs late into the corner. Press gas once ur angle changes past 20 degress too so u dont hit into walls and loose ur combo.

weell. im no pro but i love drifting. usually i get up some speed about 3rd to 4th gear and hold it there. i hold down the inside of the turn until im pretty close, about 1 sec. then i swing out and pull into the turn. this should get u sideways. then u jus tap brake NOT EBRAKE jus the brake and u should slide nicely. in straights, jus kep the car at a slight angle to keep your combo going. hope this helps ill try to draw a pic sometime and add it...but no promises ok. at least until me exams finish...in 2 weeks.

Another good tip is to take corners from wide to tight, always staying as close as possible to the walls without touching them... E-brake is kinda useless although some cars a hogs and don't turn without e-brake. To maintain a good slide you should tap accel. constantly to maintain revs and stay in second... the faster you go, the closer to the wall and the wider your angle = more score...

Top score in 1 for me was a tiny 196000 in Drag track 10... Miata...

Hi all, thanks for all the reply, but It is difficult to imagine what you means without any picture and figure what "swing out", "pull in", "pretty close"... maybe I am just stupid...

go outa career and do quick races for practice, i found the audi tt really good for drift, it reacts quicky compaired to other cars. experiment with all the cars, till u get one u like, then get it in career (wait for a free car from a sponsor)

Dude it's not that easy to draw a drift... looking from the top down is pointless I think, it would be better if someone recorded you a video or something...
Here's a basic drawing, but you have to practice on your own, there are so many ways of doing a good drift... I don't think any one way is the best...

basically as long as you have space, drift, in nfsu2 thats what u got to do, but in real life you go for long distance obviously. but in nfsu2 for the single drift ones not the circuit ones u really need to get alot of points so drift at any chance. use the special bonus strips alot, drift over them. thats the only way, it was hard for me as well but after 1 or 2 tries u get used to it
