and even better than that . . . a '70 Mustang Mach 1 428 Super Cobra Jet. :D:D:D

boganbusman? i assume youve seen TTLS1 in SM....

rob vickery's Monaro?

i beleive that pulls 1100 Hp and the Twin Turbo Kit cost a tad over 20 thou AUS i beleive.....on stock internals...

other than that Valiant e49 Charger, and Ford XY GTHO and xu-1 Torana....

I don't think I have that issue of SM . . .

but I am extremely doubtful that you can make 1100hp with an LS1 running on STOCK internals and only $20k.

my Bad, it was stock BOTTOM END (crank, con rods, pistons etc..) the heads get turbo rated valve springs and al the turbo gear (amberly autos)

the kit claims 550Kw +..... in the street commodores summernats edition it says TTls1 pulled 1100 Hp.

Well obviously I don't read Street Commodores.

Still, this kit must cost more than $20k.

Well for $16k C.A.P.A. can give you a supercaharger kit for your stock XR8 which will bring the power up to 525kW. With 100% stock internals. Look HERE

All you have to do is bolt on the supercharger and intercooler and off you go.

Imagine what you could do with $26k.

i wonder how long before you need to replace the stock internals.....

a blower that delivers those figures would surely damage stock internals.

Why don't you call C.A.P.A. and ask them? The phone number is on their website.

their phone number is sitting on my desk....

there is no doubt that a blower of that size would damage stock internals.....

you would have to go pretty easy on the car to get a decent life out of them.

What size? A centrifugal supercharger isn't very big you know. You can't even tell it's there if you don't look under the hood.

And it only only has 11psi of boost, which is not a HUGE amount. Plus it's intercooled, so temperature wouldn't be a problem.

Even if it has a shorter lifespan than usual, I'm sure that it would last a lot longer than an LS1 with the same power.

When you have have a high-performance engine, you can't expect a normal-length lifespan.

look im not say you are full of shiznit or anything but i am a mechanic by trade an work alot of my mates carsnow 525kw at the wheels even the flywheel with stock internals IS possable but not very reliable i would be very surprised if it could handle one good stab on the gas without throwin a leg out of bed ( throw a conrod out the side of the block for those that arnt mechanicly mided ) but yes it is possable but would highly recommend not doin it without sever consequences
