Do you have multiple CD drives? Tried them in both of the drives?
Do you have the NFSU 1 disc in? I did and the game hated me because of that ;)

well, which disc did you put in? There are 2 discs.
BTW, if you want, email me and I will send you the link for the NO CD Patch that's available.
I posted it here before but one of the mod's deleted it because it was on a warez site. ;)

Have you got Daemon Tools or other CD Drive emulators installed??? If you do, you have to turn them off, cause the game won't run if they are on... that's all I can think of... Actually you just have to turn off SafeDisc option on the emulators and you can run the game... Also if that doesn't work, go to the SafeDisc website and download the latest version of their software, there is a known issue at EA Games about this...

Err, actully, I had this problem too in my PC when I installed UG1. It kept asking me to insert the correct disc everytime I launched the game. But I'm not sure how my brother solved it, but I'll try to ask him later...

P.S: My computer has multiple disc drive too.

I think you'll only get a pop-up when you receive a Private Message from someone, which usually happens to me also when I enter the forum sometimes... Image

From what I understand they are not talking about piracy here but how to use the game without having to put in it's cd's, which the second cd is the one which is needed to play the game. It's a hassle if your like me and only have one drive and want to listen to a cd while playing and have to have the stupid disk for the game in the drive at the same time.

I had the same problem with HP2 ... I don't remember how I got it to work ...

I took it back three times and none of them ever worked the first time ...

Wait, I think I disabled my anti-virus while installing it (???) ... Long time ago, obviously ...
