Hi, first post.
Just wondering is does the game get any harder as you progress? I'm about 17% completed and it just no fun cause I beat everybody easily all the time...I have it set on "HARD". My record is like 35 for 35 in races. I have the occasional loss but i never lose to the point where i will quit and try another race. I remember in NFSU1 that was pretty challenging and it was fun because it was very hard to win.
I even try not using my primary car like a stock one with no upgrades and I STILL win...
So I'm hoping does it get harder?
Thanks.

Glad to see a few others found Kurts new ride and the 7 lap race a mission. The two courses raced aren't exactly the best either, one stuff up and you're gone, I guess it was the combination of the amount of traffic, blind corners and the gay AI. lol
As for U2, i'm finding it a lot easier until you hit blind corners with cars coming.

actually its a well known fact that you if you drove a car in U1 that didn't have either Engine, ECU or Turbo upgrades the AI would also use crappy cars... in other words, the AI cars would always be worse than your car...
Now I'm not saying this is still the case in 2, but I finished with a 206 and didn't lose a single race...
What I'm saying is : Holmes, by using stock cars like you said, you are actually making the AI downgrade their cars!!!! Use a serious car on hard and I promise you it'll get harder... how hard depends on how good you are tho!!!

I played on Normal. I only ever lost a few Outruns. That's it. Furthermore, I only used the first car I picked at the beginning of the game (Honda Civic). Even so, I had 216 Races with 100% game completion and 100% win rate. Odd, I must say.
If I ever started again (not in a million years, that took WAY too long to get through) I'd play on Hard with some crap car to make it more of a Challenge. Otherwise, the true challengers come online, not from some dodgey computer AI.

It doesn't count as a loss until you exit the race ...
In other words, if you crash in a drag race and restart, it doesn't count as a loss ... If you crash and then exit to Explore Mode, it counts as a loss ... If you crash in a drag, then restart, then win the drag, it counts only as a win, not as a loss and a win as it should ...
Side Note : When you exit after a race, you still win money even if you don't win ...
