The pug is ONLY good for Rally! ANd it's being replaced by the 307 coupe anyway - that's next year, and by the comments of Gronholm it's a great car to drive.
But in circuit racing man, there you see only an outer shell that resemblance the production version. In DTM at least, the TT is rear wheel drive like all the other cars and so on. My point - some of those touring championships aren't racving real life cars with bigger engines - they are racing super fast -almost F1 like cars in a bodyshell of regular production cars. Hence - we don't know how the pug would do if it entered the DTM for instance! Think Renault Clio with Williams engine for exmaple. Awesome and fast car that is good in Rally and in Touring cars!

This is my 206 wrc for NFSU! Just became one of my favourites. check it out!
I dont' know much about Jap touring cars, since they dont' show that on Motors, or Eurosport. So Can't say much, you could be right, 206 may get it's bumbum kicked big time!

I know some of these bastards. It's like u get your car voted good, like 10's and 7s and an occasional 5, and once it gets on that top 5 list - boom, it gets 1's just enough to put it into a score of 5 and below. Sick of it. I would vote one if I really hate the car, and think it's an absolute nonsence. And I have once. And if someone got that one from me, I could easily explain my vote. But I get 1's from like the same dudes, on ALL my cars. That is just wrong. Stupid N00bys.

I'd pick the Impreza. Dont know why exactly, cause I like the EVO a LOT
its just a feeling... dont know what it is...
i saw the test on top gear... testing the last Impreza against the EVO VIII
and I liked it. Even they couldn't decide which one was best. Just by feeling the picked the Impreza...

My dad drove a WRX. There is a performance shop that is "connected" to my dad's shop. Anywho, a guy that works up there had a camaro and he decided to get rid of it. So he got a WRX and my dad drove it down the highway and went to his favorite exit ramp(goes from one highway and dumps you onto another). My dad has been working in that area for about 9-10 years, and he has worked on tons of cars and for different companies and dealerships(not that many, 2 or 3). ANYWAY! He said he has taken Porche's around the exit ramp at 55mph, the fastest he could go without losing control(in customer cars, hahaha!). So yeah he said some fool in an Eclipse was in front of him so my dad rode his bumper half way around the ramp and then dropped a gear and blasted past the guy on the inside of him. Said he was pushing past 60mph! And this ain't no light turn either. He said it is a handling beast, and he wasn't too impressed with the power of the car, it was quick no doubt, but more of a handler than anything else.
A while back I rode with him in a 350z that he had just finished working on and we took that exit ramp at 60. No squealing or sliding, just... going around the turn. I didn't even know we had been going 60 until after we got off and he breathed a big sigh and was like: "We just did 60 around that".
hooray for funny/lame stories!
to stay on topic: i'd pick the EVO.
