The first phase of NFSUnlimited's Showroom Challenge is now available for Need for Speed Underground 2! Compete in one on one styling duels in the all new SRChallenge NFSU2 section. Find out if you've got what it takes to compete against the best!

Go to Car Showroom for NFSU2, select a car you want to challenge (go to the view details of the car page) and hit the button "Challenge to a duel" in the "My stuff box". Of course you need to be logged in and you need to have at least one car in your garage.

How it works the time system?

I mean, a guy just challenged me and the duel will start in 15hours, but I challenged another guy time ago and the duel will start in 60hours....

Im participating in 4more duels in next 72hours... everybody challenge me!

I can only send 1challenge each 24hours, but I can be chalenged by unlimited users, which is good

Each car can only be involved in one duel at a time. That means you cannot have unlimited incoming challenges. Only as many as you have cars.

The time thing is simple: there is a max amount of duels that can run in any given time. Script will automatically find you the first empty spot and book it.

I have to say, that duel challenge system is a great idea !
Maybe it looks weird having queues of duels of almost 70 hours, but it's still a nice thing to go amongst all the cars in the showroom, and find one we think worthy of our own rides, and challenge them in a style-powered and visual only competition

Now one "flaw" is that crap cars can be challenged in crap duels by other crap cars. Well, we might decide not to vote but it's still a slot taken... I guess everybody gets his chance! With that in mind, maybe I should try, but I don't trust my cars enough yet

But, I was wondering. When are the old way challenges going to start again ? I can't wait to sign up in a competition involving looot of class rides with a pre-determined rule for them all...

it has almost been two days ago that i sent a challenge out to TheStig which he accepted and now i want to challenge one of UrQ's cars but it keeps saying that i can send a duel every 24 hrs. hasnt it been 24 hrs?

Ok that problem has been fixed.

In the near future there'll be a feature available that will allow you to choose which cars can compete in duels.

What about showing the duels results in the showroom?

I mean when you see a car, it would say:
Duels won: 1/2 (or whatever)

1st number: amount of duels you have won
2nd number: amount of duels you have participated in

In the same order of idea, maybe there could be a 'rank' for the car that won the most duels, the same way there is a 'Favourite car'.
It may be a bit tricky as I don't really know if a car that won, let's say, 10 duels out of 30, is really more pretigious that a car that won 9 duels out of 10. Allright, the first one did get involved in 30 challenges which is not what I would call weak, but still...

the easyest way to slove your problem is to take percentage of all won battles! and this wuld be a good idea about making a ranking!

Not really

Someone with 1 win and 0 losses has 100% win ratio... is he equal to someone with 10 wins and 0 losses?

Aah, the mysteries of mathematics... I'm not good enough to find a solution to this problem! Well, according to the fact the proposition of ranking is interesting enough to be dug in

By the way, If old-type challenges aren't coming back, or at least not before some time, what could be set up is a ladder competition. 1 vs 1, the loser is out and the winner proceeds to next duel, and so on until there is a winner. Basic type of competition indeed but it could prove to be fun...

No need to sort cars by wons. Simply show the wins and loses in each car.
(Anyway the same happened with showroom ratings. Thats why you decided to show only cars which have been rated by 5users at least)

And... later they could be done little championships (semifinals, final...) or something if you think that simple duels are not enough

Yup, right. Although it's 6 users at least (most of my cars got just 5 ratings and they don't show, so ... :p). Anyway it's more or less the same thing that could happen.
I don't know exactly how the scripts works, but I think the idea would be to have a limit of X duels minimum to show, then take the car with the best percentage of wins. When they are more than one car sharing that percentage, it should compare the number of duels the cars were in, and put in first place the one with the higher number of duels.
Well now, maybe I wasn't clear, looks like it's not really my day for English-speaking :p but to take an exemple : Car1 got 100% victories with 8 duels total, Car2 get 100% victories with 9 duels. Best would be Car2...

Now for the ladders, well duels are fun, but a ladder competition would be exciting ^^
