Problem with OnLine Patch (NFSU2)

I downloaded the Patch, and when I open it, It says:

Old File not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No Update sone since file contents do not match.

.
WTF it means?:?

yes he is using a crack, a no cd crack. the game will only patch the original .exe file so it didnt work. if you didnt back the original file up, then you can reinstall the game and then patch it.
i ran into the same problem because i couldn't be arsed putting the cd in everytime.

it exists...... but the problem is not the "crack".... is the account that
you use in Internet....When you'll use your account... you need an
authentication your CD key.....and this CD key must be valid!!!........
I have the NFS underground 2 v1.1 installed with this "crack"....and I can't play online!!!.....this is the problem now!!!!

thats because the cdkey and other authentication data is stored on the original .exe file. i've had the same problem when trying to use a no cd file. i have the actual game, its just that i really cant be bothered using the CD all the time. when i found that it didnt work, i copied it back.
