Showroom Challenge 2 now has a reputation gathering system!
What the heck is that?
Win duels, gain rep points, lose duels, lose rep points, it's as simple as that ;) Enjoy the most respect when you're on <a href="http://www.nfsunlimited.net/underground ... enge2's</a> top ten list!

I'll also confirm that the good old Showroom Challenges will return and winning those will really boost your reputation!

And who knows, we might even give away some prizes to those with the most reputation points!

Are you up to the challenge?

How does the scoring work, by the way? I'm still a bit mystified by the system.

So far, what I observed is that a win gives 100 points (INFRA has 7 wins, 0 losses; equals 700). How are losses computed? In my case, I'm 588 points with 8 wins and 8 losses (800 - 212 = 588; 212 / 8 = 26.5 per loss?!?).

Whoa, I'm 9th! :D

Yeah, I like that! I'm only 32th, but it's nice! I suppose I didn't have such a bad idea in the other topic, even if I bet it wasn't the origin of the reputation system...

I wonder how it works exactly. I'm sure there are no major flaws in the system, but I'm curious about how the points are given. I think we gain more from a victory than we lose from a defeat (or else I'd would have 0 points hehe), but I also wonder how the showroom - not duels - intervene...

Anyway, well done, the showroom is really awesome! There is a competent staff who cares on nfsunlimited ... 8)

Let's see the following cases:

- Pigbenis -- 6W-3L = 552
- JnRy3 (me!) -- 8W-8L = 588
- Dragster -- 13W-8L = 774
- maac -- 9W-3L = 833
- GodziFENA -- 11W-4L = 902
- ^Sparco^ -- 10W-3L = 905
- UrQuattro -- 17W-5L = 1197

So as you can see, it's kinda hard to get the math for this. It can't be win percentages... hmm... for instance, INFRA has 8W-0L = 800 points.

There must be a bonus for more duels participated in. Check out Pigbenis's and my records. He has a better win-loss ratio, but I have more points. GodziFENA's and ^Sparco^'s are also weird -- Godzi has 2 more duels, but ^Sparco^ leads by 3 points.

Oh heck... I'll wait for the OFFICIAL scoring guide.

Rep actually kind of sux because that makes more downvoters... dont forget even on challenges people make multiple accounts and vote their own car.

...and in the honesty system (which is rather invisible...), we know who the true winners (and sore losers) are.

we know what you mean... but sad tossers will always be among us!

we are trying hard to capture them... not without luck we catch downvoters and people with multiple accounts every day!

Could someone explain this new functionality that the rep was reset for, all I see is that I lost a couple hundred points. What's the deal?

Note: reputation was reset to implement additional functionality. Please view all your duels to get reputation back.
Follow the note.

have no clue I lost alos 200 points... :? I think it had to do with the amount of losses compared with wins...
for Instance I lost the first like 6 comps.. so I stayed at 0! for a while... after that I won and won and lost 1 and won a few times again!
but now I had to set them up again... and they where all mixed so I like 9 wins and 7 losses all mixed... instead of first a few losses and then the wins... (wich would make the rating higher...!)
