the R34 is already a nice car... it is not the most beautifull car in it's class but it sure got something!
the tuned version is nice indeed... (wouldn't drive around in it with 200 decals on it but the rest is decent... atleast it still got the lines left..
I don't agree that the the brits don't make good coupe's anymore... Ok the ones they build now are in a whole difirent league but the brits make the most stylish and exotic looking coupe's in the world,
for instance the new line of Aston Martins the DB9 and Vanquish and the Volante vesions (convertible) and don't forget the McLaren Mercedes SLR is build and designed in Brittain in the same factory as the Legendary McLaren F1

Scotty, same engines same car the only thing different between the GTO and the Monaro is the Americans dont have Strict emission laws so they are able to do away with the Restrictive exhaust system!Scotty_ wrote:Both Engines are very similar, The GTO Is a Front mounted 5.7 lt push rod v8 which puts out 261 kw @ 5200 rpm, Whereas the holden monaro puts out 236 kw.
Im not a fan of holdens, but i like the look of the aussie monaro that the american GTO...
Scotty
As a GM fan and member of an Astra car club myself the 888 is an fantastic car... all the Astra Coupes are nice and so is the Cabriolet, dont get me wrong my Ex had a 2.0 turbo Cabby and it was fantastic, but they they are by no means "Awesome" cars like the monaroGrez~Supra_RZ-S wrote:Astra coupe 888? We dont really make coupes anymore because we dont really have a motor industry anymore.DarrenR21373 wrote:However, I do agree it is a shame that us Brits can no longer make a coupe.

Stig - that tuned car is the Top Secret R34 race car. Those decals are actually sponsors.
Admittedly, the 888 is by no means an awesome car, but then it doesnt come with the price tag a monaro does. The only thing Im looking forward to from Vauxhall in the near future will be the VXR220.

H18OAB - this is what was confusing the hell out of me. As far as I was aware, I THOUGHT the Holden Monaro, Pontiac GTO and Vauxhall Monaro WERE all the same car. Then there was an argument that they were different to each other. I am happy to agree with you mate
(I would give you a thumbs up icon, but we don't seem to have one!)
