THE 'REPLICA CHALLENGE'

Post by Te4o_bg »

The replica challenge starts after a couple aof days ( check my car when it starts please )
aqnyway I' only using the challenge to say something else
First you pic a tuning picture of a 'simple car' and then start duplicating it you start to face different problens - rims not the same , no decals on thee hood , no colourful decals and lots of others
so what i'nm trying to say is that at first we think that the game is realistic but with the replica challenge you get convinced how far it is from reality
(oh and if any of u who has an unkle who works in EA please give him some clues :D )

You have to take a car that CAN be replicated in the game.
It's that simple :)

Also the rating on this is going to be challenging aswell. You need to have a pretty good knowledge of parts available in the game to judge properly if a certaing part (if not exact match) is the best possible "close match" for a replica.

Also matters of taste come to play. What if you don't like the car at all (the real one either) but it is a very well made replica. How to rate then? I sure would hope, that atleast the entrant votes would be for the best replica, not "who found the best looking real car".

This is what makes a replica challenge interesting IMO - there's another factor in the mix, how good a replica is it? Everyone uses a slightly different voting system for challenges, different than the showroom, and that variation is wider in replica comps. Expect some surprises!! :D

I will vote like this:

- do I like the car :?:
- is it a good replica :?: (even if I don't like the car)

I entered the Replica challenge (not telling which car), but yesterday I uploaded a new and improved version of that car.

Is it possible to replace it in the classic challenge :?: :?:

Go to the challenge section, and read the rules for a particular challenge. At the bottom (of the rule page) you will find an entry button.

Not at the moment though, since the replica challenge is full (and no other competitions are upcoming).

I start working on a new challenge every thursday and get it online that day or friday! from that moment on you can upload a car (after ofcourse you read the FULL rules  )

the new challenges start every Saturday (normally at 0.00 GMT (friday to saturday at midnight to be precise!)

you got more then a full week to upload you car but some challenges will have a max number of cars so you have to be quick!
the replica challenge was filled in 4 days

Gimme another replica challenge, darn, I was hoping to enter my car but I was late...
(Check my garage for what replica I mean.)

Oh well, back to scratch, I'll prep one for the next round.

I guess something went wrong with the scripts, because it sure as hell isn't hidden. Usernames are visible in the contestant list, in individual cars they are hidden as they should be.

EDIT: Appears to have been fixed...

That's what you get when you have an admin who's blind as a bat! Fixed now.. ;)

I have rated all the cars.

Special voting for color-blinds and illiterates (Those who put 5-spoke rims when replicate a real life car with 6-spoke rims)

I've also voted for all the cars.
There are a few cars which stand out from the rest
And some are really bad at replicating a car (e.g.: using a diff. car then original, diff type of rims, ...)
