lol! Maybe so, but I'll be keepin mine. Have been there and done the V8 thing, (308 HJ Monaro, 253 HQ One Tonner) and loved it. But of all the cars I've owned, the best thrill is from the lil turbo six. It's a lot easier on the back pocket too..boganbusman wrote:Yes GT, it's even better than your car.

BTW, today I booked the Skyline in for a full 3" stainless exhaust fitting. Goes in on Wednesday next week. They gonna dyno it before and after fitting, so that's gonna be interesting.
i wish.........

I've got a '95 Chrysler Intrepid. Not much, I guess (it's in beater mode right now), but it's sufficiently fun to drive, and it's pretty big, which has it's benefits (all my stuff I've got in my dorm fit into the car, which is nice). And, if nothing else, the engine still makes the 214hp it apparantly made when new. Or, at least, I'm pretty certain it does. I had it out to a drag strip about a year and a half ago, and it ran the same 1/4 mile time as when new, so I take that as a good sign that the engine is in good condition.
Yup, that's it, V6, FWD, weighs about 3500lbs. It's no sports car, but it's fairly fun to drive. It'll ultimately understeer, but I've got to push it relatively hard to do that, and from that point, it's just a matter of fiddling with the throttle to balance it on that edge where the front is just beginning to slip. It's all pretty easy, because there's a decent amount of feedback, both through the wheel and the seat of my pants. I usually find that I can take highway onramps at approximately twice the recommended speed, which I suppose is pretty respecteable for the size of the car (I believe it's right on par in exterior and interior dimmensions with a Benz S-class or a BMW 7-series).
