Sleeper Challenge Is Official!

Post by GT3x24x7 »

Well, TheStig had some net trouble, so he asked me to handle this week's comp. Rather than watch me waffle on about it here - go straight to the Sleeper Challenge Rules and work it out for yourself!!

Ok, I'm working on my entry now - I'm going to be really upset if there are more site problems and my entry gets lost for a second week in a row (never mind...).

Personally I would have allowed custom lights, mirrors and bonnets - people wont give cars high votes if they look too un-stock like.

Now I had two cars I was working on and I have to decide which to use.... decisions, decisions...

IMO I think it would be wise to really choose a good car...

I think that choose the right car for the job got you half way..... cause there are some cars in the game... when they are next to you at the trafficlights you won't think... wow that is a car I can whipe the floor with...

but then again... it is you choice... and he all are allowed

I agree with ogo about those parts, but the only reason, I think, for banning them is that people would vote high even if the car was too un-stock. In general it's kinda sad that in the rules there has to be limitation on which parts you can use. Coz if it's a sleeper-challenge then the cars can't be flashy, isn't that obvious :?:

It'll be nice see the results of the Pimp My Ride -challenge coz some of the cars had nothing to do with the challenge. :?

too many restrictions in my opinion, I would have liked to use custom lights and a couple of decals instead of a side vinyl and it would still be a sleeper

decals are sure NO sleeper! that is obvious

ok maybe some of the rules are strick...
but GT had a good reason for it.

I tried to give you all as much freedom of choice in the Pimp my ride challenge to use ANY car ANY part... and make a Pimped out car... and to be honest I think alot of the cars failed to reach the goal...

but that also had 1 advantage... that hopefully the real pimped out ride would win

I also hope that a real Pimped Ride wins, but that challenge propably will show how much freedom there can be in the rules.

Well I personally don't mind if the rules are strict or not as long as the winner is in the spirit of the challenge.

These classic challenges are gr8 and I hope that there will be plenty of these in the future, even if the rules have to be strict.

And yes decals are not found on sleepers...

Hmm, the Pimp My Ride Challenge really got me - I still don't really know what a Pimped ride is - I tried to make one based on the images from the MTV show I found on the web, but from comments on my ride, I think I was one of the failures...

I guess stricter rules are better - at least we know what is expected... :?

sorry for the off topic but i must say this...imho the pimp my ride challenge is a bit missplaced. why? because you must pimp your ride. and that means big shiny spinners porbably on a SUV that's plack painted and has no or just a little vinyl. but the point of the challenge should be a car that looks a bit like the cars they make on the show. i took that last one and i made a car that really looks like a car they made for some dud called Azra.

That challenge isn't the best because many people will enter with a bright cioloured stock car.

Well just rated the sleepers and I don't know what to think. When I went to rate those cars the first one I see is a Skyline WTF...

I'm also glad that there were some excellent cars and that I found my winner.

I already rated about 30 cars. some have the user name in the pic, some didn't follow the rules (Stage2 brakes Instead of Stage3) and some don't know what a sleeper-car is
