UVer DVer and the end

OK i think thats the end of my garage, i think the most here are happy about that.
well there are to many DVer out there, if i look @ my garage all my rides are heavy down in the rankings, and before some weeks the most of them were on the upper 10 in the rankings. I think i have realy not many fans here, the admins cant,wont, or have not the time to do something against that, and the most users here who say "I dont care about rankings" are faker well thats not true! i am still there but there is nothing to do for me, so ill be wating for a better time or a better voting system or something like that. Infra does the same and now i think i know why! I think there are 2 categories of DVer, the ones who are realy stoopid and want firetruck up, and the ones who have realy a great garage and want ever beeing up on the rankings! I think the seconds are realy stopid well
they dont need it!

i think they are some of the best here and i wish good luck and a good position in the rankings but @ the same second i think(know) min. 50% of them are DVer to.

Who cares about dvoters. As long as the people who you like here see your cars, then thats all that matters. I looked at your garage and theyre rated pretty good.

yeah, people are downvoted sometimes...dont let that get to you..if you let it get to you, then they'll know that you're prone to it...so, just let it go, or...as AngelSin said, delete the car and make a new one...anyway, if you're really not doing anymore cars....then see ya...hope to see you post in the forum, then.

Masu, at least people actually bothered to vote for your cars. I can't even seem to get 5 votes so I can get ranked! And my silver GTO was high in the rankings before the votes got wiped!!

I know some of my cars suck the fat one. I don't care, I love them all as if they were my own children. But maybe not as much as Michael Jackson loves other people's children ("Woah, little bit of satire there, ladies and gentlemen!" - Ben Elton, British Comedian and Writer).

I also happen to think some of them are fecking A1. Others won't agree. Just don't take it personally mate, as far as I'm concerned if other people think your good cars are crap, it is THEM (or should that be THEY?) who are wrong. They, as you say, are either idiots or downvoters and downvoters by their very definition are wan*ers anyway, so who cares what they think?

I've been downvoted a lot even tho I replaced every single car in my garage they still don't like it

I even try hard to make a good presentation but that doesn't work either

I ran a duel like a week ago and I was using my Madza RX-8 and I lost because my screenshot of the car was hard to see

IMO its easy to see as my other cars but to see for yourself click the link in my sig

oh, okay...well, if you are paying attention to this topic, then you've probably realized by now that stopping your car creations isnt the way to go...you should keep making cars, no matter what other people think..people are different, so you should just focus on your opinion...dont be ignorant of others opinion, stay aware, but if you like your cars, then that should be all the satisfaction you should need.

Why do you care so much about the ratings?

The important thing is to show off your rides. The thing is called showroom, not voting room

My cars are not too appreciated lately, but I dont care. I used to be in the top 10 ranking (srchallenge) but now Im not. I actually dont know what is my ranking. May be 100 LOL.

I think we should scrap the whole voting system in the showrooms, yep you heard me, get rid of the whole voting thing altogether. Of course people would still be able to comment on your cars, just not be able to vote for them.

The only bit of voting that should remain is for the showroom challenges and duels.

Then people (like myself) would stop complaining about downvoting, the mods will stop complaining about upvoting, everyone is happy...

well...not everyone...see, there's bound to be problems with things...if you get rid of voting, then people will be like, "oh, okay...we want votes again."

and then, DVers and UVers will do their work, and then the complaining will start again. so, its no use.

We already have the featured ride of the day, which is chosen daily by Bojan, and nobody argues about the featured ride of the day.

Definitely the current rating system is flawed, but I don't have any ideas what would be better. There will always be abusers.

OK then another possibility: remove the guest rating, and add the staff rating. Then you can see the 2 ratings:

Staff and users.

Yeah, that's a good idea. The guest rating is useless.

The staff rating would be a good mirror for the user rating, they should in all fairness be relatively close to each other. Assuming the staff team would have enough people in it for different tastes/styles to have an equal chance.
