Re: Crashed... :-(
Sorry guys, haven't had time to revisit this thread. Regarding the crashes, these are the possibilities, NFSU2 is non US version (At least untested with the EU version cos I don't have one), NFSU2 is not patched to Version 1.1, running on OS other than WinXP/2K. Sorry for the complicationsDemonNFSU2 wrote:same problem as others have had, when returning to explore mode, bam crashes, which is really frustrating when u buy every part from the Specialties shop for 1 car so u can transfer them 2 other cars, and goto explore and it crashes...really a downer

He clearly said that.. ''Running on other OS than WinXP/2K''.
So OS = Windows, Linux etc.
Edit:
Finally got this thing to work.. It seems it crashes when I choose to unlock everything for the shops.

Ok what you can do is to download the NFSU2Meg_Single.zip and unzip all the stuff into a directory then run the trainer from there. This may or may not work, you'll have to try it to know. If you have further problems, do contact me.laumild wrote:I can not install this tools,my system is WINXP SP1,help!!!!!

I have the V1.2 with No-CD Patch and I am running WinXP Pro with SP2 on my laptop and I have only one problem. I can use this trainer to the fullest except I can't use any of the global unlock options because I then freeze up and go back to the desktop after an illegal operation in speed2.exe program. IMO, I just mod each of my cars in the car lot 1 (2,3,4,5) screen and I am not with it.
I just think the global unlock options are so that you don't have to keep using the other screens but then all the uniques will be in the shops itself (too bad it doesn't work because it would be helping on saving some time).
Other than that, on complaints and works great.

Ok, for those that can't get the trainer to install, I had the same problem. Here's how I fixed it:
1) Download from the second link - file: NFSU2Meg_Pack.zip
2) Unzip the file to it's own directory.
3) In this directory you will find another file called: NFSU2MegaTrain.CAB
4) Use your unzip utility to decompress this file into it's own folder.
5) Copy this folder and it's contents to where ever you want to keep it (like the game directory)
6) Run as usual.
I tried having it update the supposedly "outdated" drivers like four times and got tired of it. Finally I just did the above and it worked fine.
Always remember the programmer's montra: "It's not a bug, it's a feature!!!"

Solution to Crashes with Mega Trainer.
I was told this solution worked for most who had trouble with the Mega Trainer crashing when activated.
Procedures
1) Go to Windows Control Panel
2) Select "Regional and Language Options" Settings
3) Select the "Advanced" tab
4) Under the "Language for non-Unicode programs", select "English (United States)".
5) Select OK to apply the changes
6) Reboot the PC then activate the Mega Trainer with NFSU2 as desired

I've also confirmed that the Megatrainer works for the European Version of NFSU2 except that there is no support for the 106 and Corsa.Override2Zion wrote:Solution to Crashes with Mega Trainer.

By the way if you encounter any problems like the setup prompting you to restart your PC, below is a solution to solve the problem.
1) Open up the file "setup.lst" with notepad.
2) Look for the lines starting with "File3=...", "File4=...", "File5=..." and "File6=...".
3) Delete those lines.
4) Locate the line starting with "File7=..." and replace it to "File3=...".
5) Save and close the file
6) Execute the "Setup.exe" application and it should solve the problem.
