i think bogan meant that it was more effective. ads on car safety and speeding in aussie are slightly more 'revealing' . guess it does home the msg in more effectivly and u wouldnt 4get it...but this is my opinionM_S wrote:anything in australia is betterboganbusman wrote:It was OK . . . just your standard government saftey ad![]()
Personally, I reckon that the TAC ads in Aus are better.
tac = transport accident commision

I've seen one particular government advert about safe driving, not sure what country it was, it was either aus or south africa....
basically i girl was partying, drinking with here friends. One of her mates was drinking too, but offered the girl a ride back home..... on the way the car crashed (can't remember how).... but that wasn't the end..... afteewards you see the girl in hospital. The ad then goes onto show the girl is paralised, and shows the difficulty of her life, for her and her family..... it was very hard hitting.... it was concetrating more on the problems caused by drink driving..... very incredible, it made me think twice anyway.....

one of the most disturbin ads i watched was in the uk on drug addiction.
basically a guy at a disco goes to the toilet. inside a locked cubicle, he opens his wallet and takes out a 20 pound note and a razor blade. he then unhinges the back of his head and grabs a handful of his brain. he cuts up his brain and snorts it up with the 20 pound note.
really disturbin, made me promise myself not to try any drugs

i like the anti drug commercial they air every once and a while on german MTV. there's a puppet dancing and when the music gets faster and faster it gets trapped into her own ropes and stops moving. and at the end of the commerical it says: 'Extasy kills'.
it's not graphical at all, but it makes its point
