lol I found out that a good way to add stylepoints --> Nitro is drafting behind a tuner car.... for a couple of sec without accepting a outrun... as soon as your fully charged.. accept it and blow him away :D

you can also gain lots of stylepoints with the hydrolics... not jumping... cause that alls like 100 in total... :? but pressing H and the directionkeys quickly after an other... multiple times and your stylepoints will grow stedely :D

I don't even need nos to blow away the other tuner cars, as for fps i'm not even gonna check mine, i thinks its between 25-30 when using setting at 800*600
everything maxed except anti aliasing(turned 1 step from max)
World detail 1 step from max
Enhanced contrast(is shiznit) off cuz it causes a major slowdown

Apart from enhanced contrast slowing down the game, I don't even like it so much...

I did a J turn yesterday.... atleast, that's how the called it.
I drove backwards, and E-braked and then pedal to the metal :D

But I can't do it again :(

Doing donuts is also good for nitrous refils (360)

Well as everybody is happy with the demo, I want to complain about some points.
Im sure Summ will enjoy this little review :D
Lets go:

-1. Light effects
-1.1 I hate that crappy effect in the rearlights. When you use NOS, and when you are in a pursuit (Outrun) your opponent's rearlights are shiny :?
-1.2 There arent white lights! (R gear)

-2. "Dynamic" environment.
-2.1 Rain/no rain: I dont see that awesome wind effects we were promised. There isnt snow or another things, only rain. Anyway the ground is wet all the time like in nfsu1 :?
-2.2 Daylight/Nighttime: It is weird. It is the sunset, then the night, then the dawn, then the sunset. ehr.... Are we travelling in time between 8:00am and 9.00pm??? It seems the Bayview city is located in another planet where there isnt full daylight and days have 10minutes instead of 24hours.

-3. Bayview logo in the mountains. is just a copy of Hollywood emblem.

-4. Damage. Where is the damage?

-5. Style points. Why do you get points when going reverse? Where is the cool thing in doing that?

-6. Nitrous Oxyde System
-6.1 Tanks are refilled magically: no comments.
-6.2 Like in nfsu1, NOS isnt really effective. Try Juiced, there the N2O 'makes you fly'. But here you get 8-10 extra kph thats all.

-7. Car physics
Copied from nfsu1, no improved. Low number of polygons.

-8. The city
It is smaller than I expected (considering that we get the 20% of space in the demo, it is still small).

Well there are more crappy things but I havent time to talk about them. Maybe another day... ;)

-1. Light effects
-1.1 I hate that crappy effect in the rearlights. When you use NOS->N20, and when you are in a pursuit (Outrun) your opponent's rearlights are shiny :?
-1.2 There arent white lights! (R gear)
Ricer.
The tail lights with the following tail(WTF) is supposed to make it feel it goes facking fast.

-2. "Dynamic" environment.
-2.1 Rain/no rain: I dont see that awesome wind effects we were promised. There isnt snow or another things, only rain. Anyway the ground is wet all the time like in nfsu1 :?

Demo huh? We might not see everything, or it would be a full game..
-3. Bayview logo in the mountains. is just a copy of Hollywood emblem.
I find it cool looking. It adds a special taste to it. It's famous too.
-4. Damage. Where is the damage?
*cough* demo *cough*
-5. Style points. Why do you get points when going reverse? Where is the cool thing in doing that?
It's harder to control your car when you are going backwards. Maybe that's the reason, and scoring a lot of points will be difficult.. For some.
-6. Nitrous Oxyde System
-6.1 Tanks are refilled magically: no comments.
-6.2 Like in nfsu1, NOS->N20 isnt really effective. Try Juiced, there the N2O->N20 'makes you fly'. But here you get 8-10 extra kph thats all.
I agree, the N20 bottle decreases too fast. And the boost power sucks.
-7. Car physics
Copied from nfsu1, no improved. Low number of polygons.
The cars do drive better and feel heavier. Easier to drift.
-8. The city
It is smaller than I expected (considering that we get the 20% of space in the demo, it is still small)
What, you want NFSU San Andreas?

ok to comment on the previous comments regarding nitrous... the nitrous effect isnt that great, granted, but maybe its only a 50 shot or something not a 250 shot... perhaps, its good to speculate

reaction time :D

the nitrous... I know the green car only has I guess a dry system 50 shot maybe... the other cars have a bit more and a bit more power into it...

sunset sunrise... haven't noticed it. (could be 10 minutes...) but he would be useless if it would take 10 or 8 hours eh?? no normal persone plays for that long.

light effects with nitro... well turn down the motionblur... duh..
no reverselights... ever seen them in NFSU1???
ok IMO it should be there... just like a light switch turn lights on and the main headlights to flash with... and a horn etc... but he EA didn't think so :? big minus for me... but I can live with it...

world size... it is not the full size of Beconhill... check the map there are 2 large roads going up the mountains! you only drive the "city" part of beaconhill

low poly cars... well was in NFS U also... but then again... IMO looks better and more detail... personally don't give a damn about polys really I seen loads of great cars for NFS 4 with 9000 polys and they where stunning... and some cars with 20000 where less.. so.... polys doesn't mean good looks.

think thats that.... rest is told by PSzeta...
(what did everyone expect... THE PERFECT GAME???
well... we need more then that!

The perfect game simply doesn't exist  Some people like things that other people don't. BTW Sparco, if you don't like the light effects, turn down the motion blur + light trails :)

When you start using the hydrolics the cam doesn't rotate anymore, so you can view the side of your car :)
