Sure. Whatever you like. I used to think the Oil Consumption was a Con until I read one quarter every 10,000 miles.

What a discussion! I am still with RX-8! Anyone to proof me wrong or make me change my mind?

Well, we can't really prove you wrong until you offer something other than the basic opinion that you prefer the RX-8. Indeed, it's better than the RX-7 in some aspects, although for pure preformance, the RX-7 easily wins.

IMHO, the RX-8 is like what I'd describe: 40% performance, 60% stylish. But for the RX-7, it's a whole different story. That's how I view these 2 cars. ;)

I think it's time to wrap this up.

The RX-7 was built as a sports car, as was the trend during the time it was built. It's meant for driving fast, nothing more.
The RX-8 is built as an everday practical performance car, so of course it is not as fast as the RX-7 sports car, but it's more practical and easier to live with.

The one you like more will depend on what you like in a car. Pure performance or practical performance.

Sorry kids, on the RX7club the RX-8 guys have allready given in to the RX-7 ;)
It happened a long time ago and without too much of a fight too.
The RX-7 was designed as a track weapon, a quick look at the suspension setup and parts used will reveal that.
Especially the rear bushings they used, they are known to be effective on the track, but with a very limited life span.

The RX-8 is nothing more than a rotary powered family car with fancy 2 door looks.
And after what I have heard, the tuning is very limited for the 8, due to ECU problems and such (According to RX-8 owners)
Most people that are looking for a sports car that can go fast they go for the RX-7 FD, but if you are looking for a more of a daily driver the 8 is your thing.

So sorry guys, the discussion was ended a long time ago, between the 8 and 7 owners themselves ;)

Efini RX-7, mmmmmmm. Note the V shaped squiggly lined symbol not the stylized M.

Its actually an 'X'. ;)

I used to have it on an RX7 owners club hat that I bought when my brother had one. 'Efini' just means JDM, as Eunos does for the MX5. What you realy want is an RZ, or better yet, a Spirit-R.

Its an 'X', hence R''X''-7. Not RV-7.

I would choose to keep the money, and buy a 3 year old Audi RS6. And wipe the floor with both of them.
