MW will be for PS3, it will be out for next-gen consoles, not just for 1 console

Also, IGN has a new full drag race movie.
http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/740/ ... l?fromint=
It's fairly long and more in-game footage!

EDIT: Just watched it and whoever drives just suck big time. Not to be the bringer of bad news but there is no damage. You can see the BMW hitting cars but no pieces flying. It's cool that your car can interact with traffic, like how the logs fell but if you look, the logs that fal on the car don't affect the car and I see no damage.

Once again, it's just the demo, and it in no way represents the final quality since the dev kits for xbox360 and PS3 has been only shipped 2 months ago. And no, it's not coming to PS3:

Quote from EA's Most Wanted site:

"Race Online* Need For Speed Most Wanted features online play for Xbox 360, Xbox, the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and the PC."

It's official, you have full control of the car during drag races:

"The demo is a drag race that's very similar to the drag racing mode found in the Need for Speed Underground games, but unlike those games, you'll have full steering control over your car instead of just switching lanes at the tap of the controller."

From http://www.gamespot.com

EDIT: More on this slowing down, Matrix-style view:

"After maneuvering around the truck, I headed into a tunnel with some heavier traffic. At this point I hit the A button and slowed down time to avoid the obstacles. In this mode, there is a cool drafting effect that flies off of the edges of the car and the spoiler. I boosted up the hill and almost as quickly as it began, my Most Wanted Experience had ended. "

Deja vu from Prince of Persia anyone?

Wow, does anyone else miss the GT4 realism? Most Wanted is going to be an arcade fest, no skill required.

Yeah, that thing with slowing time really pissed me off. I'm really doubting how great MW will be. I thought it was just a slow-motion camera like when you jump in UG2, UG1 or HP2. I really miss the old NFS series. I simply want to be able to (simulation) the car of my dreams through mountain roads or coastline with police chasing me...ah, good ol' times.

EA said it's gonna be only light damage, because they don't want to do another Burnout game. what i liked about the video is that it shows some of the moments we could be in

Another BS-ing excuse...
Can you direct me where this was said.

Plus, if they didn't want to release another Burnout, then for God's sake, release Burnout for PC. PC people need to get some kind of damage too.

EDIT: Just read the Yahoo article:
"For the Need for Speed series, the key for gameplay was to ground it in the realism and reality of the core feel of these awesome cars/machines and at the same time really understand what you need to exaggerate it so that the "feel" translates to a fun video game experience.

The focus of past Need for Speed Underground games was solely on delivering an exciting street racing game that truly represented the tuner culture. The damage model was not needed to deliver a great street racing game. This year, the team is focused on creating a game that truly captures the intensity of cop pursuits; an experience that rivals any chase scene you would see in a film or on TV. We've balanced vehicle damage in the game to make it fun for the player and to capture those epic Hollywood style police pursuit moments.

This guy doesn't understand how important damage is if you put a gun to his head. Yes, damage is needed to deliver a great racing game. Seems to me MW is more like UG3. Why street racing??? It almost makes me cry that these people don't listen that they need to make an NFS like the originals were.

Burnout 3 is the best racing game because it's really lighthearted and fun to play, it's by far the best racing game I own for PS2 after GT4.

I really miss the NFSIII, where car handled almost realisticly well and chases were still fun, and doing 8 laps on Summit at night with weather turned on is still the experience no game can match lol.

EA's games began to degrade, all the want is money, look at last year, all their games and sites had the same menu layout only with content changed according to a game. NFSU2 menu looked like FIFA's, NBA's and couple of others. It seems their games are coming off conveyer belt with very little work being put into them. There are of course, exceptions, like Burnout, they are very rare with EA's games. Once they find a selling point, they keep exploiting and milking it until it runs dry. And the only reason why NFS:MW has muscle cars (or will have?) is because Juiced has them.

I just hope that MW city won't be a random collection of curves like in NFSU2, what kinda city doesn't have straight lanes, OMFG, that was the thing that pissed me off most abt NFSU2, you can reach 60 in under 4 secs but there is no place to do so because there are constant turns, jumps and curves. They have to at least try to make a city look like a real city where people live and cars that differ and exist in numbers larger than 5.

Re-post, exactly the same as the one I mentioned that was posted on IGN.

EDIT: Back on discussion.
A few pieces have been placed together. First, it was found out that that little bar at the bottom is the amount of time you can slow down time (still getting used to "slowing down time" + fast-paced racing game). So I guess it is a good helping tool for those lazy bums who can't manage to go under the truck at full speed. Hopefully this tool would be available during replays (another thing, I hope I can be able tosave replays) so I can slow down time during major tricks.

I'm just gonna pretend that there's damage in the game, but they just swithced it off 'cos it's probably in a Quick race where you're able to use Driving Assists like in NFSHS.

Sorry mate, you should have read what I posted earlier:

No REAL damage. It may be like in the PC version of Hot Pursuit 2.

*Crosses Fingers* Yeah, the U2 city was all curve, jumps, Burger Kings, and 2 types of cars with maximum amount of those on single screen was 5, they looked fugly and generally I don't consider them as traffic at all. They should make a city look more like a city in MC3:DUB with different types of cars, buses and unlimited freedom, you can choose where you drive as long as u get to checkpoint. And it has muscle cars.! Note that MW was announced a day earier before DUB edition's release, and I'm sure it was to steal some of the hype.

Actually to be fair, DUB stole everything IMO, including other street racing games. If there weren't NFSU, none of this would be developed.

^ agreed. i had the same opinion on MC3.

most wanted though looks to be a real smooth and kick ass game. the only thing that bothers me is that ugly early morning yellow color. it like ruins the entire point of having an awesome paintjob on your car.

another thing i hope they do is like juiced where you can actually have your own color and not just ones that are supplied. cause i'd love to make my on pearl paint!

plus i can't wait to see what exoctics they have.. slap a body kit onto a diablo 6-0 and drop it a little(can't go too far as they're already low :P ). would be awesome to see!
