Logitech MOMO wheel

Post by Stereo »

Should I get a Logitech MOMO wheel? I'm on a budget so I'm going to buy it on eBay. This will be a birthday present, but is it worth it?

I have a few Logitech Peripherals, including joystick, joypad and headphones.
if i was to buy anymore, logitech would be my first choice, i have had no problems with them at all.

Some of the people here have problems with the Logitech MOMO. Do a search on it and I'm sure some will pop up.

By the way, how much is it going for? In stores this wheel is around $90+, and I went to Best Buy and found it for $130! That's ridiculous! I bought mine off of NewEgg for like $70...

I personally think it's worth the investment, becuase it's REALLY fun. This was my first wheel and I enjoyed it very much. I however am attending school right now so I don't have much time to play it as much as I want to. I don't think the vibration is realistic though--I guess you can change that--but it's really good.

Make sure you read reviews on Newegg before you buy.

Good luck :)

Yeah, I read the reviews. There were some complaints but it's considered to be the best...

On eBay people are bidding $10... Anyways I'll see how much it costs closer to the end of January.

Depends on what you are getting it for.

I would not go for Ebay first. Its a trust factor.

If you get it in 20 pieces, I feel sorry for you already.

In the few instances I've used the wheel, I've hated it ... doesn't feel very realistic, slow response, etc.

Thumbs down

Sounds like you didnt set it up correctly.

That would make it your fault, not theirs. Look up the latest drivers and then configure the wheel. Then tell if it is terrible or not.

Considering I don't own and have never owned the wheel, I'd have to say that would be the fault of the various owners ...

I finally got my wheel! :D :D :D I'm so happy! It works perfect, but when vibrations are on in NFS games, the wheel controls the car to auto-fix itself into a position from sliding. If this isn't clear, then here's the other way: Whenever I slide with my car, the wheel spins by itself to adjust the car from sliding. Me doesn't like that. :( But I like the vibrations...

Wheels always lock up to the opposite side if you slide.
