Problem with editing textures

Post by NightmareDemon »

Hey, i've got the bintex 0.3 program, and i'm having problems. Ive got Paint Shop Pro 8 and I have no way to open the texture files so I can edit them in PSP8. If anyone could help me at all, please do.

I got the same problem.

I downloaded Adobe Photoshop CS and the program didn't open the files too.

Any suggestions?

You need the .dds plugins. And if you took the time to read the readme file that came included with BinTex 0.3 you would know where to get them. So I suggest you guys learn to read before you post. Here's the link to the plugins and next time don't be lazy.
Requirements
============
VB6 Runtimes
You most likely have them already. If the program does
not run or gives an error message about MSVBVM60.DLL,
download this from Microsoft's website and install it:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/rele ... seid=28337

Other Required Files (download and install if asked)
"MSCOMCTL.OCX" -- http://oedit.nd4spdworld.com/misc/MSCOMCTL.zip

Usage Help
==========
To View The DDS Files:
----------------------

For 3DSMAX, you may download the plugin from nVidia's developer's
site. For Photoshop 7, you can also download the DDS import/export
plugin at the same site:

OK THEN CustomZ02, tell me this then. I went by the directions the FIRST TIME i read them, which was a couple of days before I made the post, IN OTHER WORDS, I READ THE DIRECTIONS!!!! But it still didn't work. It didn't give me an option to open the file. I put the files into the plugins folder like the readme said to. And still NOTHING

Plug in goes into PlUG IN folder - undre Adobe, PSP7, etc... The dll files go into Windows/system directory. That didn't work? I.e. you can't open a dds file? Make sure ur using PSP 7 or higher than, cuz the readme file mentioned that.
