[April's Fools] Site Updates

Those of you who have visited this site today were first redirected to Google's press release. I must say here that Google made an offer I couldn't refuse and in overall I believe they will run this site far better than I ever could. Don't say goodbye, I'll still be active as a community member (forum, showroom) and I'll also work with Google as a consultant. Keep visiting this site, I beleive it will become better and better

Edit: The sale was a result of April's fools day. To all of you still convinced that it was true - Google does not own NFSUnlimited.net.

Does this mean that now NFSUnlimited Staff will be made redundant?

And if its not to hard a question, can you give us a rough idea as to how it will benefit the site?

Yes, NFSUnlimited.net staff will no longer run this site.
I don't know many details, but as I hear, they will make one giant community base. You'll have one username and you'll be able to use the features of this site and many others with it. Forums will also get connected in one huge forum - our forum will become Need For Speed forum there.

New site's under design, and nothing will be lost in the transition between the two

So yes, you will still have your current username

A little birdie told me and showed me that the new showroom (url not known yet) will be an enhanced version of what already is for NFSUnlimited

Nothing at all will be lost, it'll be like copying and pasting something off the net

Sounds like Google has massive plans... looking forward to that... its funny tho, how everyone used to hate Microsoft, becuase they were monopolising the software industry... but when google do the same thing with the internet, no one really cares much

I'm sure nfsunlimited will run just fine.. can't wait to see what they come up with... or maybe in a few years down the line, the president of the world will be sponsered by Google...

This is a momentus day!

Instead of being sad we should all congratulate Bojan... and ready to face the new chapter of this site.

No, its not, its the truth, we are not admins anymore, we are just normal members like all the rest now, google will take control of the site from now on.

so yeah, its bad luck for all of us, but...Bojan thinks its better for the site, so whatever it is....we are out of moderating now.

It's not like I'm withdrawing from being websites alltogether...
Showroom3.com will require at least twice the time NFSUnlimited.net has. So I hope I'll finally be able to launch this month!
