NFS:U2 LAN problems

As far as I know, in order to play multiplayer on LAN, one computer has to act as host, but that computer can play as well.

Now, I set up a small network of 3 computers and a router, and we tried to play multiplayer. All of us are on Ver. 1.1 and we cannot see each other on the network. Each of us tried to host a server, but we still couldn't see each other.What are we missing?

Asumming your router does support lan?

Assuming it supports LAN? Can you elaborate?

I have a Netgear router, if that helps.

Can the computer see each other outside of the game? Via Network neighbourhood for example.

Do you have DHCP enabled on your router or are you using static IPs`?

What about firewalls? Using those (including WinXP firewall)?
