WTF  $3.5 for petrol.

I thought petrol was cheap in the USA

Hmm let's see - I paid AUD1.43 per litre last night for 98RON petrol...

Europe
1 EUR currently buys 1.656 AUD, so that's EUR0.86 per litre.

US
With 3.785 litres to the US gallon, thats AUD5.41 per gallon.
The AUD is currently at 77.663 US cents, so thats USD4.20 per gallon.

Any of you yanks wanna mail me a few litres?

That's still cheap compared to the prices over here. ;)
I googled and found a page with the gas prices in Finland and yesterday's average price was 1.35€ per litre.
And 1.38€ per litre for the "98" gas which our Saab uses for example.
Average diesel price yesterday: 1.05€ per litre.

We only have up to like 93 Octane here in the states where I live, that may be why it's a little less expensive than in Eur.

Eh? Are all the cars over there like 5 years old or newer?
I dunno how will the older cars run with such low octane fuel.
We have 95 for smaller old cars and new cars and 98 for old crap cars like our Saab.
There are probably some other differences between our gas and yours.
Haven't really studied the fuels so i dunno shiznit really :D.

Yeah, NZD1.70 is AUD1.37 at the moment, so it's roughly equal I guess.

Belgium: €1.44 / litre for Super 98

After some research, I found that in europe it's the cheapest in Andorra
€1.107 for 1 litre of Super 98.

Here's a list of the fuel-prices in europe (in Dutch)

In your first link the prices must be the lowest prices from the countries because it seems to be accurate in that case on Finland.
And what's with the second link? March 2000?

We're hovering at around $1.08 (CAD) per litre around here, which I suppose doesn't seem so bad until I realize it's equal to $3.90 (US) per gallon. I hope it's just extra taxes causing that.
