Emmanuelle Vaugier now officially in NFS Carbon

Post by Bojan »

The official press release:
EA ANNOUNCES EMMANUELLE VAUGIER TO STAR IN NEED FOR SPEED™ CARBON
Popular Actress to Play Central Role in Storyline

Redwood City, Calif. – July 11th, 2006 – Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) announced today that actress Emmanuelle Vaugier will star in Need for Speed™ Carbon this fall. Developed by EA Black Box in Vancouver, British Columbia, Need for Speed Carbon delivers the next generation of adrenaline-filled street racing and challenges players to face the ultimate test of driving skill on treacherous canyon roads.

An emerging young Hollywood talent, Vaugier has a recurring role on the CBS hit sitcom Two and a Half Men. She has also recently starred in the films Saw 2 and 40 Days and 40 Nights, and was selected to Maxim’s annual top 100 females list in May. In Need for Speed Carbon, Emmanuelle stars as Nikki, the ex-girlfriend of the hero who has returned to town to face his mysterious past.

“Being able to work in a videogame for the first time and working with the Need For Speed Carbon team at EA has been a great experience for me. This is a game that evolves the racing genre, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it”, Vaugier said. “Playing the role of Nikki allows me to take a completely fresh approach to acting and push the boundaries of the creative process.”

David Footman, who has worked on such Hollywood blockbuster films as The Day After Tomorrow, X-Men, X-Men 3, iRobot, and Fantastic Four, was the director for the green screen video shoot with Vaugier. The full motion video shoot in Need for Speed Carbon processes live actors to look computer generated while maintaining their performances and facial expressions.

Need for Speed Carbon will be available for Xbox 360™, PlayStation®3, and Wii™ as well as the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Xbox® videogame system from Microsoft, Nintendo GameCube™, Nintendo DS™, Game Boy® Advance, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, PC, and mobile

noooooo

At least she actually looks good.

That girl who played mia in MW was flat as the desk im typing on and was not fully developed on the rear aswell. What I mean is, she was not attractive, no matter what skimpy clothes she wore.

man im glad that at least she is pretty, but she needs a booby job or something. :P

and i agree with red dawg, even though some parts of the story lines in mw were good. like the part when you beat all the blacklist and everybody takes off when the 5-0 comes. it remindes me of the fast and the furious,1 and 2, i havent seen tokyo drift yet.

other than that the game seems to be making progress

Dude, those aren't rendered pictures.. It's real people with plastic-ish overlay like in MW.

IT looks real because it is a real picture wich they edited to give it abit of a game look, just as they did in MW (but the overdone it intentionally)

All nice and good, but as a gamer I rather seen the money spend on her, spend on licenses for cars and gameplay etc.
cause if I want to look at a beautifull girl I get away from the computer and go downstairs to my girlfriend

Id like all this "gangsta" stuff to stop, and have a game thats all about tunning and racing to the limits. Putting in these girls is fine but to me its retarded because we are playing a racing game. Is this like an intermission to masturbate? Seriously, instead of paying money to take more shots and make "cool" videos, Id like EA to concetrate on making this game lot more dynamic when it comes to tuning. I am sick of "stages" because thats no way to tune a car. IF it happens again im going to be pissed. EA should hire some mechanics as well, otherwise we going to have lots of honda boys running around with STAGE upgrades.

what the hell is wrong with the EA guys? are they gay or something? that outfit sucks...so does she in it...it just covers how pretty she really is...if she looks like that in the game, i'll close my eyes during the cutscenes :D but until then, let's just hope someone with EYES notices something...I don't really agree with korge, no offense...Mia Townsend was pretty, not necesarily sexy....it's not always only about the breasts and the butt...she wouldn't have looked that "flat" if she knew what to wear...but again, as tsuchiya said, the stylists have some serious problems...

When will EA finally understand it.

A hot chick doesn't make a racegame better.

Like The Stig said, it lowers the amount of money that can be spent on actually improving the gameplay, graphix, .... .
