This might sound a lil n00by but can you do it for me ? I really dont get what you just posted :D . I want it so its red to match my APR Evo . I would be really gratefull if you could find time to help me out :)

ok, i'll try it over to make sure i didn't corrupt anything.

bam_bam, when you save the file as a DDS (do a Save As) choose DXT3 in the Option Window.

Where do I do that it wont give me that option . I can only do dds , do I need another plug in ?

are you using PhotoShop? if so, doing a Save As should pop up a window with Options. there, choose DXT3 as the format. if you're not getting that window, maybe you need to redownload and reinstall the plugin from the nVidia website. remember, you need to select Save As, not Save.

I know , it gives me a drop down menu of about 12 things but dxt isnt there

look in textures.bin use binTex to do a preview.

I dont use Bin tex , I tried once and it had a conflition with my system for what ever reason .

if it's not part of BADGING, try by extracting all the files in Textures.bin and looking at them all individually. i'm not on my computer that has Most Wanted, so i can't do it for you. there's not a lot of files in Textures.bin anyways.

Right ok , I have found some . Ones called badging N or something but when I try and open it it displays an error messege , Im gonna takel it tomorrow tho coz its 3 am :P .

the _N files are normal maps, they don't contain the textures, just information for the game to figure out lighting effects on the textures.

Told u peoples ill be back okay im having the same problem kinda like bam_bam but like its adding new BADGING or what eva ive extracted all the files of the car but im having trouble dealing with the colour or sumthin like dat coz i wanna add the new badge thing but have it in the same colour or format i dunno wat it is but i want it to blend in with the rest of the picture

here is a screen shot so u know once again wat im talking about :wink:

i didnt set it to what it was ment to be like DXT 3 haha silly me also im a dumb bum for not knowing that :x

<b>bam_bam</b>, i haven't looked at the EVO's 3D mesh yet, but after digging around a bit, i have a hunch that the rear badge is a full 3D badge. the front badge is just a rectangular plane that is overlayed the body. the rear badge might be a fully 3D mesh, in which case it would use a different material, probably Body_Aluminum. 1) i have no clue where that texture resides and 2) changing it would change a lot of other things on the car.

Umm i wanna just ask coz like im doing a vinyl like i said i was well i dunno if told you guys but like i have bin pm bam_bam and its help thaks bam_bam

but now ive got to save the mask file witch and when i say save as i select

palette ARGB ( 256 colors + alpha )

and then No MIP maps

Is all this correct or does the Mask need a diffrent colour thingy

if you're using binTex to import, check Generate MipMaps. if you're using MWTex to import, check No MipMaps.
