Real cars you want so see in a racing game.
Real cars you want so see in a racing game.
I got a question for all petrolheads and carfans in general.
What road car(s) would you love to see in a racing game, but you have never seen in a game before?
Can be any car you want, as most of you know, most games have cars that you see in the US, or if japanese cars they sometimes have the JDM specs, but not the european or asian models for instance.
I'll give you a few examples
- Ford Escort ZX2
- Vauxhall vectra VXR (Opel Vectra OPC)
- Toyota Vios Turbo
This topic could have been in the games topic, but then it's not about a real game.
I just want to know what cars people like, and think:
Well that would be a great car to be in a racing game!

Re: Real cars you want so see in a racing game.
I don't really pay much attention to racing/driving games, so as far as I'm aware, the last gen. Miata isn't in any games. I played a bit of NFS: Carbon when I was at best Buy, once, and was a bit perplexed to see ads for it all over the game on billboards and such, even though it wasn't actually in the game.
Beside that, it'd be nice to see more MazdaSpeed, in general.

Re: Real cars you want so see in a racing game.
A BB4 Honda Prelude SIR/ SI VTEC that doesn't run a 16/17 quarter like in Gran Turismo.
I can tune a turbo H22A BB4 to around 330BHP and still run a quicker quarter in real life in my N/A H22A BB4. A fully tuned turbo H22A should run alot quicker than a 15.
Other than that I don't recall seeing it in any other games.
Ooh and some GT Avenirs, old school Monaros (HT, HQ) / Kingswoods etc, 4agze Levins/ Treunos, GT 323s, old school Cerferos, old school Lancers, toys like that that are fun to mess with.
Funny thing is every car in that list I have beaten in reality with my 'Lude. I want some realistic speed in games lol.

My car.
There is probably a game with an AW11 in it somewhere but I haven't seen it, so . . .
Apart from that, the Peel P50.

Gran Turismo has almost everything worth driving (or not), but... A mitsubishi magna and 380 because I own them... Mitsu-Australia's closing down though.

An RB26 would be longer than the whole car I'd be happy with a Honda single cylinder, maybe turbocharged? And a reverse gear would be nice.Tunerfreak wrote:Hehe drop in an RB26 (God knows how) and a cage around the body. The fun to be hadboganbusman wrote:Apart from that, the Peel P50.

Actually I would much rather bikes. ZX10R and CBR1000RR FTW.
For cars, the Reliant Robin just to see how many laps a formula one car can beat it by on a track...

Yeh i was thinking the same thing.baumaxx1 wrote:Gran Turismo has almost everything worth driving (or not)
Well, Audi S5. DBS, F 599 GTB... and oh yeh.. MAYBACH 62! But those most likely will show up in any next game. Except for Maybach
Re: Real cars you want so see in a racing game.
The DBS is in PGR4 as is the 599
The 599 is also a addon for Forza2
I don't agree that every car worth racing is in GT4, there are alot of cars in GT4 I give you that but there are alos alot of useless doubles, like the countless skylines (every R34 ever build including every race version there basicly was)
But it is missing alot of the region specific cars (exept the JDM cars)
(please don't make this a GT topic ok?)

I'm certain everyone would love to see the return of Ferraris in NFS, now that the racing's all legal and everything.

-Ford Tarus SHO. 3.4L V-8/235 hp. Front-wheel drive. What a ride that would be.
-Small SUV's. Ex:Chevrolet S10 Blazer Vortech. 4.3L V-6/200hp.
-Ford Escort GT and Dodge Daytona. Sport Hatchbacks (The Daytona had a Turbo'd Mitsubishi I-4). Many people use them for racing in my area.

Re: Real cars you want so see in a racing game.
The Ford Taurus made it into Gran Turismo 4, and it sucks because it's too heavy and powerful for FWD.

And also, there should be NO SUV's in any nfs game (what use are they?).

Bike: Ducati Desmosedici RR (street version of Casey Stoner's MotoGP winning bike); 1098S
Car: New Fiat 500 (although no doubt it will be featured in GT5), Ascari A10 (Record holder on the TG Test Track).

Re: Real cars you want so see in a racing game.
Big chance the Nuovo 500 will be in GT5
The 500 Abarth does have some potential with it's 1.4 turbo engine.
@powerof1000 we are not talking about a NFS game, just any racing game in general (real or fictional game)

Now that you mention it the Z-Tune would be a great drive and a nice change from most games having all different boring forms of the factory R34 GTR.TheStig wrote:...like the countless skylines (every R34 ever build including every race version there basicly was)
I suppose a Toyota Sprinter Marino / Ceres would be different.

Re: Real cars you want so see in a racing game.
Here's my list in order of "badly deserves to be in an NFS game*" to "would be cool but not great".
Ferrari F40, the older Honda NSX in a NEW NFS game, Nissan Skyline R33 400R, Nissan Silvia S14 'Kouki', the Toyota Supra that is one generation older than the widely known one, an older RX-7, an older Celica (GT-Four, maybe), and possibly a Ford Probe (if used in a more Underground-like game; otherwise, it would be pretty useless).
lol. The F40 is the only non-Japanese car on the list, besides the Ford Probe, which is pretty much a ricer anyway (although I'm not saying ALL Japanese cars are "ricers"), considering it's FWD and has a 4-cylinder engine. It looks nice though. Not great, but nice.
*EDIT: or any game in general, preferably one for the PC. XBox / XBox360 and PS2 / PS3 games are no good for me as I only have PC and will not get an XBox / XBox 360 / PS2 / PS3 any time in the forseeable future

Just to clarify this topic is not targeted on NFS, and is actually referring to cars you want in any general racing game that you haven't really seen in any of them.RedCarDriver wrote:Here's my list in order of "badly deserves to be in an NFS game" to "would be cool but not great".

And I agree with most of that list, Jap and Turbos go hand in hand.

The detomso pantera dosent get much face-time in racing games. very overlooked car
Re: Real cars you want so see in a racing game.
Ooh, I saw one of those around town, once. Very, very nice looking car.
Re: Real cars you want so see in a racing game.
True, it is hardly ever seen in a game, I can't think of a game that has it.
