NFS5 Menu Text Mess Up

I recently installed a new 3D graphics card (NVIDIA 5200, 128 Mb). The game runs perfectly, but some of the main menu text has become fuzzy and garbled. I've tried running the 3D setup program but that didn't do a thing. I want to avoid uninstalling/installing because of fears I may lose my current profile and saved games. I'm running XP Pro, and never had a problem before installing the new card. Any suggestions?

Do you have the latest video card drivers?
By the way, just back up your savegames before you uninstall. I think there's a savegame folder in the folder where the game is installed.

I DO have the latest drivers. I guess I'll try installing it all over again. Seems like a strange thing to happen.
