The future ride *Mclaren*

Post by orcanism »

Here you can talk about mclaren's challenges, records and races!

Image

story:There was a big mirror in a drag road, and the mclaren was 50m away from the mirror!
challenge:1.the mclaren should go to its top speed before it reaches the big mirror
2.the mclaren should break the mirror using its top speed, but without touching the mirror
challenge result:done
comment:the mclaren reached it's really top speed in 3.0 seconds, and made the mirror EXPLODE COOL!!!

You mean in real life??? I don't think anyone of us has even seen one on the roads, let alone driving it. Image

If you're referring to Undercover, proceed to the Undercover forum. There's a dedicated Competitions sub-forum in there for you to post anything you want relating to competitions. This forum is meant for real cars that people drive in. :)

What the crap is this? Apart from being completely illegible and pointless, this thread doesn't belong in "Your Rides."

I appreciate the sarcasm. Happy new year to you too! :)

Now I'd love to rant on, but it'd be great if you can explain more about this game. I wanna get my hands on it. :)

From the poll, I guess we just put what we think (or know) is the F1's top speed.

Although I have to ask, would this be with or without the 7K RPM rev limiter?

DON'T FRICIN' POST IT!

And it wasn't a stock F1 that did the second number you posted (DELETE THEM,) as that had the Rev Limiter removed, which is why I asked a stock F1 or one with the Rev Limiter removed. Your first number isn't even right, it's off by a small margin. :?

Here's a random fact.

The Audi RS2, a 1.5 tonne, 4-door estate, with only 315bhp, has a faster 0-30 time (1.5 seconds) than the McLaren F1.

Here's another one: This topic could have been locked faster than the McLaren takes to go 0-60.

@ topic poster: Quick, do you know what company made the McLaren engine, which companies did the designer contact first to find an engine (also name the designer), and what the engine code of the McLaren engine is (and what it was originally used for)? No Wikipedia or search engines (like Google).

...I didn't think so.

(btw, about the RS4: RS4 has AWD, which almost always means more acceleration, so comparing 0-30 times between an RWD car and an AWD car isn't totally fair despite what the car weighs.)

also: "future ride"-fail, the car was in development since probably at least 1993 and was not made beyond 1998.

RS2, not RS4. Incidently, the RS4 isn't as fast 0-30.

Well I can answer the "which company's engine was used" thingy by saying BMW's V12. That's the extent of my knowledge though.
