The performance geeks thread
As the name suggests, a thread to keep all the performance-related stuff from invading other topics. Think its about time.

Re: The performance geeks thread
We do have a performance parts thread and tech talk thread, it's just that nobody seems to use them anymore.
Anyway I think this will go in here nicely:

Re: The performance geeks thread
That is the craziest thing I've ever read in my life. 1300hp rocket superchargers? WTF? Only a person with a complete disregard for sanity or the lives of himself and others would do such a thing. But then again, I would...
oh snap
Re: The performance geeks thread
good idea
starting with, what would be the best idea with my escort, i have 4 choices of engine i can
stick with a pushrod and get around 130bhp using twin carbs lairy cam and an overbore to 1700cc
drop in a 2.0 pinto engine and get 150bhp using same method
2.0 zetec engine, now this one id be happy with 150bhp but with the reliability and fuel economy of a modern lump
oooooor i can be stupid and fit a 3.5 rover v8 with either a supercharger or 4 downdraught weber IDFs or similar?
have been told i can supercharge the pushrod aswell
