hi im new here...i downloaded a couple of the custom vinyls n they look really nice! i opened up the custom dds files that i downloaded on my photoshop n didnt get it at all!!....but i was wonderin if anyone can make a see thru hood....or just one that shows the engine n everythin

it would be nice though,
but u can make a hood which has an engine on it like a picture of one etc

oh ok ill remember that next time....but it would be cool to have a hood vinyl like the Orinigal Taile CLK GTR...its like blue n white.kinda has a ripped up hood..and shows the engine...cant find a pic of it rite now...

yea, i dont htink nfsu was built to actually show the engine much, like the only itme u see it is if u paint the engine parts(not sure wat its called).. like master supra said u can put a pic of an engine on it pretty nicely,..by the way, awesome lking sig pic mate!

The enginge's are in a file just like the vinyls find it export it and make a custom vinyl and put the engine on the spot of the hood. But you must have the position right because the pic of the engine is with details so if you make a small mistake like 1 or 2 mm of the edge and you will see it clearly in the game because the pic of the engine has the part where the headlights and stuff is already cut out. but i don't know wich file it is where you can export the engine's i stombelt on it by mistake. But as soon as i get home i will look it up

Itamkutet made a vinyl that has a something yuo are talking about - picture of engine texture from the files, showing from a ripped up hood. If you want to see how it would look, browse the SENTRA sectino or user ITAMKUTET in the Custom Vinyls area.

is it possible to replace an actual hood instead of a hood vinyl? so just say u change the way the stock hood looks n put an engine in there...or delete the stock hood...i dunno i was messin with my vinyl n texture file...but failed....lol...any ideas? or just make a new vinyl.....?

VINYL is the only way. i think it was said that before.

Another way is to edit the mesh, and noone has been able to edit cars in NFSU and import them into the game, so ONLY vinyl can make it work...

i shuld say yet.... i dont think that someone will not crack the nfsug.
i think cars are in the same bin fils so someone shud edit bintex that it
shud open a geometry.bin files.
