The "Why your nick" thread
The "Why your nick" thread
Hey ppl, I haven't noticed one of these evergreen threads on this forum yet. As anyone knows, this is one of the classic threads to be found on any forum, like the "Post Yourselves" and "Where do you live?". This one is yet another of that kind, and the question is ... why have you chosen the nick you choose, and what does it mean to you ( affection ).
I can start this myself, by saying that Summ is short for Summoner, or the Almighty. I first used this nick when i got internet 13 month ago for the first time. I used it when playing a game called Jedi Knight 2 : Jedi Outcast. As some of you know, and as the rest can guess, you enter the shoes of a jedi, and start going nuts with your lightsaber at anything that has a heartbeat. Online I needed a name that could impress and emphasize my skills, and Summoner did it for me. It was equally impressive to most of the other common names, and yet original enough to stick out and be remembered. My clanmates started to abreviate it to Summ, which is a milder form imo. Summoner took on another meaning, as I often stood for arrangements and bringing ppl together, I was now the one Summoning ppl :p. I prefer the later interpreftation.
Who's next on the list? =)

My real name is Andrew Scott. I got this name more-less stole it LOL. Back when I was playing Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 I had another nick(forgot what it is... agacu maybe?), anyways there was some guy that ran a site and his name was Speak. Spelled normal
- Well I twisted it slightly and made it my own and have been using it for about 4 years+? Been on mIRC(gamesnet) for the longest time with this nick as well. Hooray
Plus I talk alot.

Seems to be plenty of confusion surrounding my nick - lol I thought it was easy to pick! Quite simply, I used to play a LOT of Gran Turismo 3. So much so that I even faked an extended illness to skip work for two weeks and just play the game!! Yeh I know, I'm a bad bad person!
So that's how it came about, cuz I'd play Gran Turismo 3 for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if I could arrange it!!

marshall- marshall mathers (eminem)

my names shaheen jamal shajahan.. bronco is basically my shorter version of my main nickname when i use to play CS on lan and stuff, which is extremebronco.. bronco basically cause my friend told me once that the ford bronco had a bus v8..so i was like totally obsessed with getting one, this was waaay before i even knew wat a turbo was so i didnt know wat the bronco looked like..when i saw it i almost puked...uuurg..but it kinda stuck..i actually got other nicknames, The Jackal is one but it went into high demand after the movie, i was using it before the movie came out, than there was sub_cynide and booster(after gone in 60 seconds where boosting was kool)..lol thats the history of my nicknames anyway.

Where my nick comes from?: "Kekum" is the place I live (it's a small town with +-800 people). In the town itself we call it Kekum, originally it is called Kedichem.
I guess I don't have to explain "Rulez"
It's with a "Z" because the first time I tried to use "Kekumrules" it was allready in use.
Also I use "Mike", wich comes from Michael (and is my name)
So thats how I came to this nickname

LOL, pretty creative! I chose my nick because i thought it was different and something nobody had. I worship supras and since supra is so close to super i decided to go for supra-man, lol, instead of having super-man. Now i cant even say super because i just end up saying supra!GT3x24x7 wrote:Seems to be plenty of confusion surrounding my nick - lol I thought it was easy to pick! As for me, it's quite obvious that I took it from the movie TripleX...(not porn)..

i think i have the lamest story
i went to play soccer with my mates and i was the goallie. my favorite club had just won a game Twente 1-0 to Ajax in ajax's 100 year celibration
:D so i was happy about that and decided to name myself after the twente goallie Boschker for the duration of our soccer match
...when we got to the home of one of my mates, his little brother asked me wat my position was, i said goallie... so he said: Like boschker??? and i said yes..so he fused my last name (Assink) and boschker into one... Aschker...
me mates where all laughing, so it stuck...and i like it actually
