i'm very sorry to say this is one hell of a crap competition.
i'll tell you why too:

first of all, the cars and the submissions. (have you seen them????)
then, the voting system and the winners.
don't get me wrong, i couldn't care less about who wins or not, about if i win or not, but i just wanna say that the way people win around here, and about half the winners just repeat at different cars, and i would go even to say that these peoples are admins, or what not, or i can do the 150+ guest voting from 5-6 internet clubs here in my home town.

then, the voting system. i once ended up in the 94th position. again i say that i don't really care, but the system is all wrong.
instead of the looong and boring pinkish cars tour, i would have liked to see a big list (like the final rankings) with thumbnails besides them, and if you wanna, you click it, and add your comments, and such...

then there's the downtime, and i guess it's related to the huge amount of data being uploaded to your servers.

and there's another thing!
i've submitted to all the cars except the mitsubishi eclipse, but i don't see my name anywhere...

oh, and i'm very curios to see if you admins will delete this post, or you will reply like a professional.

1. The Submissions
We can't really do anything about the quality of submissions. If people want to submit bad looking cars, we can't really not accept them...

2. The Winners
NFSUnlimited staff is not eligible in the competition. That's all I'm going to say.

3. The voting system
What the big list would do: people with the most friends would win the competitions, no matter how their car would look like. No to mention the cheating with multiple usernames. If you want to do the 150+ voting tour from 4 caffees, be my guest. It'll take you a few hours. The current voting system has proved to be very good as all entries get about the same number of votes.

4. The Downtime
Dowtime has nothing to do with the traffic this site gets, as the server we're hosted on manages several sites like this one. It was an unfortunate happening with the hard drives. And might I add that I've got absolutely no influence on the server.

5. Your submissions
You say you don't see your name anywhere, but a few lines before you say you finished 94th. We have 16 entries from you, 5 in the competitions that have already ended. If you can't find yourself, then it's not my problem. I can tell you though that you finished 29th, 42nd and 24th. And no, I did not use any special admin tool, just visited the final rankings page.
As for why you can't see your car in the tour: you are not allowed to rate your own car.

Wow man! Dont be angry! Your cars got 24, 29 and 42th! My best result is 26th with peugeot 206, and the other cars are frequently at 90ths and something like that. I am worry too about the bad quality of some cars, but today for example, the 2RX7 winners, I like both of them. If people dont like our style, we cant do nothing!

The voting system is perfect. Boring, but correct. You are not able to take a link and give it to a friend in order to vote you 10points... your friend will have to vote the whole list, and Im sure no many friends will accept to vote 100+ cars only because you have asked them lol. Do you understand? And staff members dont participate so...

Wait and lets see the final cars. My best cars are coming soon, so Im sure I will get good results as some of them. Probably you too! Dont get angry.

Do you honestly think we put this comp on without thinking hard on all this and far more besides? Sheesh, give us some credit. Before going off about every little thing that seems to bug you, think about why it might be set up in just that way.

As for your insinuations regarding the integrity of NFS Unlimited staff, let me advise that I take considerable offence at the sheer front displayed, especially since you're generalising about people you don't know and have never communicated with.

yeh, i think that this comp is set up great, everyone that made it possible did a great job. i dont understand why you cant just appreciate that us users have a comp like this, sounds kinda stupid i know, but its true. S-O D-O-N-T C-O-M-P-L-A-I-N!!!!

i think it would be better if it didnt display the users name when u are votinh.

i still cant believe an rx7 with a upgrade 1 kit on it won. i think it had something to do that his whole clan helped him win

Leave this alone. It's pretty sad to see everyone starting to repeat what's been said before. He probably understood the points by bobyx and that's that. Don't start personally attack him, it's over, really.

I just wanted to point out ... a few friends have absolutely NO INFLUENCE on the final results ... the final results are imo 100% fair, as there simply IS the sheer amount of votes that there IS. I mean .. there are like .. almost 100 votes pr competition .. if some cars emerge ... then I think it's more than fair they do. If ppl is sad about their placings, it's because they do like the cars they made, but others don't overall ... in the end if you're happy ... then why bother? I never ask for/hardly listen to critics about my cars, simply because I like them. I make them the way I like, and I am happy with teh outcome .. tell me why i would have to change MY car because SOMEONE tells me to if I am more than happy with how it looks?? lol.

That kit on the winning RX7 was the only kit I ever use. I respect the car too much to do anything more to it, I think the guy had good taste.
