NFSU2 graphic setup
can anyone run all the video options on 1048x768 and all the extra things, anti-analising and enhanced contrast??
cause i run with everything on, except over bright, anti anialising, and enhanced contrast. if i do then it slows down a hell of alot, i think its maybe becuase i lack ram, i only have the minimum amount. i wish i could run enhanced contrast because it looks alot bettter than NFSU

Man, I was SO disappointed when I noticed I can't run everything on max.. My PC is more than enough for it.
I have an AMD 2.4+, 512 DDRAM (400 mhz), Radeon 9500, and I have to turn almost all the advanced effect to their lowest option and run the game smoothly at 1024x768.
How can NFSU2 be this much bulkier than NFSU? They're using almost the same engine. I could run EVERYTHING on max with NFSU. I hope this isn't how the final game gonna work.

I have my settings at 1024x768 and all the other setting on or at high except for light trails. for some reason I can see my car in the menu when i turn it on. lol. my game runs very smmothly with these settings, except when I do a burnout and make a lot of smoke it kinda slows a little. other that that its great.

I have almost the same specs as you, orvnahum_ The only difference is the videocard, I have an GeForce FX 5900XT 128 MB DDR. And I have the same problem as you do. I am pretty sure that the processor is too slow. When I started Windows Task Manager and then started playing the demo, I noticed that the CPU was on 100% almost the whole time, so I'm planning to update my processor + motherboard.

disable Light trails!!!!!
I had 800*600, everything low qual but had light trails and motion blur on, I turned light trails off and BAM! it's 3x faster!
I now run the game at 1024*768 with 4x AA (I manually configured it outside of the game), with everything set to high, motion blur on, everything at high qual but Light trails OFF, and it's really smooth!

Schumifreak we have the same card, only that mine is overclocked... i bought it overclocked already (its running at 430mhz instead of standard 390), but i also installed coolbits, which can further overclock the card.. now i think i have it at 450mhz, but im sure with more fans, it could be pushed to 500mhz.... i know ppl who have done it .... the great thing about the 5900 is that it could be pushed pretty hard
