the pain of unlocking widebody kits

how in gods name do you do this? ive complted the game 100% already. outrun races have been done countless times. and still no widebody kit. like wtf?

u can't get any unique parts after you've finished the game....

yes.. its annoying..... i have the same problem.... SIGH....

You don't have to do the outrun races to get Wide Body Kit's, but you should have gotten it if you are at 100%, when i completed the game first time I was only at 67% completed and I had the Wide Body Kit, I can't see why you don't, have you been in the Body Shop and checked ??

yeah, ive checked at hte body shop, the widebody kit is still locked. pissing me off.

second i just wanted to inform u that i go the wide buddy kits as an upgrade while i finished only 54% of the game.

If you finished the game then you cant unlock parts from outruns but they should have been unlocked in quickrace/customize your car. If you want the wide body kit on your career car you will need to start a new game and do all the outruns on stage 5.

ok,he is right, it is unlocked in normal mode, just not career..how annoying is that??? can you like go back a race in career mode? any program to do that?

I got the the wide body (only 1) when I was in stage 5, because I outrun a golf (on 2nd attempt nonetheless). Than I was told to quickly drive to some performance shop in main city (one at bottom) and I got to choose 1 out of 4. My game completion status is just about 60% though. (i can't believe you raced EVERYTHING and still got no kit - talk about frustrating.)

Yes, wide body kits dont look all that great....but they have a purpose, they allowy you to fit bigger tires, brakes and rims and such. The JTGC is where the widebody kits was used for actual raceing and a purpose, now some people use them for show

i like the widebody kit for the mustang. looks sweeet. its gay how there isnt widebody kits for the escalade,navigator and H2. even though it doesnt make sense to have htem in real life i wouldve liked to have some in the game atleast

If I remember right, it takes about 10 outrun wins in stage 5 to get the wide body unique. Which would make them available at around 55-60% completion.

But it is indeed annoying that you cannot go back in career mode (there is no "backup save" possibility, unless you manually copy you save files).

I thought you had to do 11 Outruns in Career-mode (Stage 5) and then in Quickrace-mode you will have all the Widebody-Kits (Not in Career-mode).

Only when you complete your career do you unlock widebodies in Quick Race. I had the same thing. I had 100% parts unlocked but couldn't use widebodies yet.

Um...you people aren't really helpful....Your almost showing off....."OH I GOT MY WIDEBODY KIT AT 54% YOU SUCK!HAH" um....no why don't you try answering the question? THEN include what percent you may unlock it at...

So, here we go, heh You can unlock the wide body kit when you have completed the game up to the 4TH stage(might be fith but that's the stage I unlocked it

) then outrun 11 times and it will inform you about the widebody kit where then a star pops up on your map....You can complete it any percent of the 4TH stage! Now.... To unlock basically all the visual upgrades on Customize...or...outside of explore mode is to get all the upgrades from explore mode...from stage 1 to 5... and then beat the game...(Race Caleb and win) and you will unlock the all the unique wide body kits, rims, hoods, spoilers, and ummm I think that's it from explore mode(Yes every unique rim spoiler widebody kit and hood)Now you will have all of those into quick race. Thank you...Hold your Applause
