Just want to complain a bit.

hardvibes03 says I'm a FOKKING downvoter because I gave some of his cars VERY low ratings.

Ofcourse it's downvoting..

But not in ways of hating or bringing down your reputation! SIMPLY BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE SOME OF YOUR CARS. So what you deleted your cars? I don't care. You have been putting up your cars up there yourself.

If you can't live with the facts...

Take it easy there mate... He may not understand the situation as some downvotes can be intentional, and they can be for some "constructve criticism" as I'd say, so that tey can make a better car in the future.

But as what I am seeing now, you gave low votes without giving comments or suggestions, all this just because you're so annoyed by him. So, he's right for calling you a downvoter.

Here's another idea. Vote top cars with 1s BUT comments each vote like: "I really don't like this car. It's really bad. It actually kinda sucks. A 1 for you".

That exactly what everyone wants: voting low with comments.

Well I'd like to complain a bit too and since you posted this thread and my complaint is about you, what better place.
I don't think you're a downvoter, anyone who votes 6's and 7's on cars with eight 10 votes and nothing else, and who tears through the showroom rating everything but his buddies cars with the same isn't a downvoter. I'd call that simply being an as*hole, especially given the fact that said as*hole doesn't even have one car of his own uploaded. What qualifies you to comment on others who actually put the effort into making a car when you don't. Hell that's even lower than an as*hole that's a coward to boot. It's not so much your votes alone that bother me but the comments you make about peoples cars. I mean who the *** are you?

and please do not jump to the conclusion that I am a victim of yours as you haven't rated any of my cars, but I'm sure after this post you'll be by to regail me with your own personal brand of ignorance.

I haven't started a garage, simply because my graphics card sucks.

EDITED: It is simple: Vote what you want, and leave the other guys to do the same. Mods will remove the down votes and will keep the fair votes. Simple, huh?

A guy who has got very good cars accused me of downvoting him (In those cars I gave 8points) Notice that I rated his other cars with 10!!!

Man, I am able to vote from 1 to 10, voting 8 means that I like 80% of the car and dislike 20% of it!!!

The funny thing is that later they will ask you for vote their cars

it is only a matter of time before a Moron does accuse me of downvoting... or bojan

here come some facts:

- not everybody got the same taste!
- you are allowed to vote a 1 upto a 10!
- to place a comment is the most decent way!
- that a car got 9 times a 10 doesn't mean it is a 10 or even a 9 or a 8 to everyone!
- someone who has voted a low mark is only a DOWNVOTER when he votes just to lower you cars mark and get it as low as possible in the rankings!! (in most cases this goes for the high ranked cars!)

I got some "low" votes on my cars also... for instance SPARCO voted really low on my Hummer H2 he voted ....... a 6!!

but that doesn't mean I come after him for DOWNVOTING...
I told me what he didn't like and I told him why I did it... so we told both our reasons...

but even when he didn't comment... I wouldn't label him as a downvoter....

yeah I do check out lower votes on my car... when the specific car is on the top spot... cause it is likely to attrackt negative attention... and for me that is a good thing... it lets me hunt downvoters... and I did catch a few already... (REAL downvoters!!!)

a few other things:
can a 7 be a downvote? yes it can...
does that mean people who vote your car a 7 are downvoters?? NO ofcourse not.

it he voted all the highranking cars a 7 or all the cars above his car in such a way his car reaches the top... it is a downvoter!
but then again it doesn't mean it is always the case... you can for instance be in the 2nd place and you vote the car above you a 9 and that let your car be on top... are you then a downvoter...
if you look at it really strickt yes it is... but if you look at it normally NO OFCOURSE it is NOT a downvote...
it happens the other way around also... I have voted a car a 9 wich made my car No1 again and I also vote cars a 10 and with that I kick my own car of the top place...

a hint; choose your own voting system: for instance:
vote a 10 if you think it is perfect.
vote a 9 if you think it looks really good but a little improvement can be made in your opinion
vote a 8 if you think it looks good but there are some thinks not quiet right...
vote a 7 if it's nice but they really missed a spot!
vote a 6 if you don't like it...
and a 5 (or maybe even worse) if you don't like it at all... or worse vote when it is simply HIDIOUS!

but normally you don't go under a 6... so your votes have logic and are not that low that you will kick someone into a depression...

or just vote points of for parts you don't like..
instance:
a single bodypart -1 (spoiler bumper, roofscoop etc)
whole kit -3 (front rear side)
smaller stuff (NEON, vinyl) -0.5 add all the parts you don't like... and you got a vote...
you do have to comment to explain! *improtant
example:
you don't like the front bumper(1), roofscoop(1) and the neon(0.5) and rearlight (0.5)
that makes 3 points down.... so remain a 7!

so.... enough explaining for now!

Now could we get your explaination on what makes an as*hole. Cause as I said I don't think PSZeta is a downvoter.

Here we go, the definitions of a*holes:

* One who goes to complain to admins when his car which is on the top gets a vote of 7 or 8 which of course shoots it from the top

* One who retaliates to anyone who votes his cars low

* One who goes into flame wars with anyone who voted his cars low

Well that covers about half the members of your site. Except you of course cause you are admin. But I do wonder how you'd react if you couldn't just simply remove low votes from your cars.

Also, if your site is at least half populated by as*holes, as per your definition, why is it, do you think, that your site is where so many as*holes like to congregate? Seems to me that people tend to hangout where others like themselves are located.

So now you're accusing me of removing the low votes from my cars eh? I could, I can't deny that, I could also hardcode the top rankings and put my cars there. But I don't see the point. If little kids put their cars up for the sole reason to occupy the top place, let them have it. Sooner or later someone will shoot their car down and another one will take it's place.

Oh, out of the 1000+ users that have their garages at this site only a few complain about other voting their cars low (which imo in many cases deserve the low votes). Not to mention the same people send complaints over and over.
I also haven't noticed much retaliation and flame wars, expect from some mentioned above and some true downvoters. But those are always dealt with.
That makes abour 1-2% of all users. Where do you see 50%, I don't know.

Oh I see what the problem is... You have failed on every category I mentioned.
I suggest you think about your actions before posting here again since you're obviously only making a fool of yourself.

Of course! Mods look closely all the votes and they are the ONLY ones who know when a vote is a downvote and viceversa.
In the same way they upload all the cars which FOLLOW the rules to the showroom sooner or later, no need to ask them all the time!!!

And I reply: Why? I want everybody to vote my car, even if it is a low vote. Of course Im happier if I get higher ratings, but everybody should rate whether he likes the car or no (and have a fair average rating as a result). Otherwise, every car in the showroom will have an average rating of 9!

Why do you want to have your car on the top?? Yeah it is a reason to be proud, but only if you ACTUALLY deserve that. If you are being cheating to get that "prize" then you dont deserve it and rarely will feel proud of it (unless you are a dumb)

Im very proud of my latest RX8 most of people like it. Ii is not in the top but it was for a while... who cares? I know it is good. The improved presentation (and adding extra angles) also counts of course. I had the same car time ago and the average rating was 9.1 and 1favorite (now it is 9.6 and 15favorites)

Anyway I (and nobody) can't pretend to have their cars on the top for ever! They will be forgotten with the new cars people upload, which is logical!

As Stig, I post my rating system. You will see it graphically.
IMO it is a fair system. Notice the symetrycal appearance.
Anyway, each voter has to choose his own system:

Who thinks I vote too low???

Yeah, I know: Those whose rating system is like this (too many people!!!)

Use your brain, which one is fair and which is not?
Which one is closer to your own system?

Remeber I didnt vote the first time once on one of you cars thinking that everyone will call me a downvoter? lol
Hope evryone understands now that a 6 is not THAT bad and a 7 is pretty good actually.
I had started only voting cars which i thought naturally deserve a 8/9/10 rating and had to leave a majority of the showroom un-voted.
Anyways the challeges are the only thing I'm keeping my cars on now.

PS: bojan, even if u dont make a normal "best car" challenge, PLEASE make a best "ricer" challenge. It'll be so much fun with all the stuff in U2 !!

SPARCO: whatÂ´s the point to post YOUR rating system? Any people has his own system.If some guy vote 10 for a clown car... fine with him.I donÂ´t vote on any car(only ones in nfsu1 showroom), and only vote on competitions I enter cause I have to.
Also if some people is very demanding and vote 8 or 7 for a good car, thatÂ´s not downvoting IMO.
Like some of you know, I have some problems with the "vote thing"(voting your own cars,etc) and I have my own thinking about it, but the rules are this and we have to deal with that.
